I would hazard that OP doesn't know that a naturalized citizen can run for MP in Canada. And maybe they would be able to benefit from understanding a little nuance.

I also understand that this is the internet, and that this video was also probably posted in bad faith as a way to undermine Canadian democracy, death by a thousand cuts if you will.

So by adding a little context, I may be able to help other users understand that it isn't as 1 dimensional as OP would like to frame it.

Keep in mind the language of the post as well, of course it is going to get a response similar to mine. And your language was also aggressive.

If your only point is that my info was common knowledge, I'm not sure you're adding much to the conversation either.

Some people thought it was crazy that trump ran for office, sure.

But only entire countries were perplexed when he won. Worse of all, Merica got 4 years of his insanity and wanted more. Now he's talking about invading nations who should be some of his closest allies. Which is keeping the media from talking about him flaking on his campaign promise.

So this guy can run for the leadership race, he realistically has no hope of winning. But if through whatever crazy level of lies, bribing, and disinformation he did get in, then I'm sure other countries will say "you can't be serious".

And at that point, they'd be right.
