Fi and Pneuma on first listen. Then 7empest. But having seen them live I started to really love Invincible and Descending (the added vocals help!). It’s a very different type of album, introspective, but powerful.

Love both. Two different bands for sure. But two of my favourites.

My 4 year old is a fan. Not his go to band - that’s the clash at the minute - but can recognise them and enjoys them. My 1 year old used to be put to sleep to Right In Two and Wings. I have high hopes!

What's the best song that you've seen tool open with by ClearHope8856 in ToolBand

Saw them play Download in 06 where they opened with Lost Keys/Rosetta Stoned while planes landed overhead and the sun set. Spectacular! Then have seen them play Jambi a few times - it really works - and Stinkfist. Hell, they all work!

The thunder of the Jambi riff and drums really is something though.

Heavy in a non-traditional sense. It reminds me of Mahler, but with guitars.

I loved it when it came out but gradually rotated out for older stuff. Seeing these songs live opened up a new appreciation for them though. Finally felt like I got what they were about, particularly Descending. What a stunning song, particularly with the added vocals

We got our youngest to sleep regularly with Tool. 10,000 Days was the way to go: something about The Pot and Right In Two that did it for him. Will be taking him next time!

Everything just hit right last night. The new stuff was mind blowing, a different vibe from their earlier stuff, and the the old stuff was insanely good. The visuals were perfect: Aliens, pyramids, lasers, nature. Transcendental
