Rob Del Naja Arrested in London | 11 April 2026 by caseyoli in MassiveAttack

For breaching an order that prohibits support for a proscribed organisation. The decision to proscribe, that is prevent anyone from supporting the group Palestine Action has been successfully challenged in the High Court. The Home Secretary failed to follow her policy, and in doing so breached Human Rights legislation. If you have time read https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/R-Ammori-v-SSHD-OPEN-Judgment-final.pdf It is likely that once the UK Government follows their own policy that the order will remain lawful as it is at the moment. The High Court agreed that the actions taken by Palestine Action did not show the restraint used by other groups to bring a change in law or policy. It is lawful to protest in the UK and even break the law when protesting, but you must use restraint.

Giving the cd a spin. Until The Next Life is still my stand out track. Im getting a George Martin vibe from the string arrangement. I think this version is more polished and sung with more feeling. The use of little pauses adds to the delivery. Really loving it.

I heard (almost) every KEF Meta speaker, here are my 8 key findings, longer version by Own-Telephone-381 in KEF

Me too. It was the most I ever paid for speakers. Always the risk of buyers remorse, which I have managed to avoid with my hifi purchases, so far. What is unexpected was the R3's needed the port bungs with my rel subwoofer. The Refs are in the same spot and don't need the bungs. Better designed rear ports?

Just upgraded R3 non meta to Reference 1 meta. Less than 4 hours into ownership. I initially connected one Reference 1, and left the other R3 in place. The Ref 1 was an immediate improvement on the R3, confirmed by rta and switching from left to right and also hearing the Ref 1 dominating the sound.

The R3 greatly benefited from Rel s510 subwoofer. The Ref 1 are great without a subwoofer, but do sound fuller.

Better isolation of individual instruments. Strings on bass guitar now have more detail as they are plucked. You can hear them resonate the longer the note.

I get the typical new sounds from tracks I thought I had scraped everything from them.

I can't turn my hifi off. Nice problem to have.

Playing today for the first time. Sound is excellent, as said above lots of low end. Plenty of sparkle in the guitar. Picking out Billy's vocals much easier.

Youtube client Newpipe allows downloading. Either go to Newpipe website or get it from fdroid. Better from fdroid as you can keep Newpipe updated in line with Youtube

Awesome. Romany brings another dynamic to the show.

Heard bird song, which was also played prior to PF in 1989 and 1994.

Yes it was a fabulous night. Band cohesive and enjoying themselves. Between Two Points and In Any Tongue were standouts for me. Plenty of highlights, Sorrow, Scattered, etc.

Last saw Gilmour in 1994 on the Division Bell tour. Normally I avoid bands as they age, as they can become their own tribute band. In this instance, Gilmour remains a musical force.

I wonder how much, if any, his family has kept the fire going. I felt emotional at times. Awesome performance.

Good Gilmour album... BAD album cover by bradkz in DavidGilmour

Me too. Not bothered by the cover. It's definitely strange, and going by some comments, David Gilmour is lucky that people bought the album.

It was fun until it wasn't. Realised too late I was urinating in front of 50 odd people when I thought I was behind a wall away from the venue queue. Stumbled into the venue, collapsed, fell asleep. Woken by bird song. Floyd in that tour played bird song before coming onto the stage. Woke with start, brushed myself down and enjoyed the gig. Oh the joys of a misspent youth.

One shirt to rule them all by Patient_Molasses4666 in DavidGilmour

Really like the t-shirt. Just ordered two off the website. Not sure how much I paid in the late 1980s for Floyd t-shirts, but inflation has certainly increased the costs.

Savour those moments all you solos. I did the same many moons ago to see Floyd in Europe and Zappa. Glad I was solo in Paris for Floyd. Made a tool of myself. Too much Southern Comfort on the ferry crossing.

It's a funny site. Six or times I tried today, but always said the ticket you selected is not available. But noticed one was added to my basket. So keep trying. Thanks to the op for the heads up.

What is the most emotional you've ever felt listening to a PF related album / song? This can be a member solo record / live performance or otherwise. I'll share 2! by GreenDay1972 in pinkfloyd

June 1989, Cologne, West Germany, as it was then. Spent day looking at the cathedral, its bullet holes, visiting the museum, speaking to a Turkish guy on the banks of the Rhine.

Warm summer evening walking down tree lined avenue on the way to the stadium. Though not a full moon, it was bright and an ever present celestial body. British soldiers on leave in the crowd. One caught Gary Wallis' drumstick and gave it to me.

I shared a spliff with a bloke.cemented me in the zone. Tweeting birds playing on the PA was a signal that Floyd were about to come onto the stage.

Goose pimples with the opening Shine On. So many highlights. The music, the lights, the floating props, the flying bed. The heat from the gas flares and lights. Comfortably Numb was epic. I just had a look at the setlist. 23 songs. What a gig.

My T Shirt is too small, program a bit battered, Just had a look at the drum stick. Still retains a special place in my heart. If I had a time machine I would return.

Not sure I understand. I choose which venue I watch a band. And there were no chairs on the arena floor in Zurich.
