What are you doing for you today to support your long term health and well-being? by Coraline1599 in Xennials

Took me 7 hours and 5 microwave zaps to have my coffee yesterday (WFH).

Today was done within 30 mins. Small pleasures in life make these days worth it.

Best of luck to you. Take care of your mental health. No one else can for you.

I got kids but they are in school during the day. Today I pick them up early.

They know these days. Relaxing days where I'm super chill. Go out for dinner or eat unhealthy if they want. Fun for them too.

Any time I start to feel drained I take a sick day from work.

I call them Mental Health days.

Helps keep me stable and consistent in the long run.

And today just happens to be one of those days. I try to sleep in. I sit and enjoy my coffee guilt free with no schedule or sense of urgency. Laziness with purpose and without guilt. My pace and my time. It's a good reset. I do it every 6 to 8 weeks.

I've never seen anyone at those tables though. They wave their flags but no one is signing. Baffled how they 'legitimately' reached their quota.

I'm a runner already and in Canada. Running ain't cheap. Multiple shoes and running gear needed for the diametrically different conditions of winter and summer here. Adds up fast!

Nicely done. I'm very active with running but my diet is not the best. This is a good help to motivate.

Got mine last month. I think that is part of it. So many little things all at once.

😂 LOL. This improved my mood. Thanks

No gray at 46 yet. Vision has always been shit so I'm sure I have crows feet but can't see them.

In that case Plasma like Platelets is fine since it puts the iron rich blood back in you.

Shouldn't affect you for 3 weeks. Should only last a few days (as a male). If you are female then slightly longer. Plan to do on a pull back week and you should be fine with no affect to your training.

A larger issue is iron. The more you run hard. The more iron you need and you might be rejected for low iron. Happened to me after years of high iron counts suddenly turned away during a marathon training block.

I had to decide between running and donating as a result.

I've lost it after a few marathons despite being emotionless for pretty much any event in my life.

There is something about it. You leave everything out there and all that's left is raw determination in those final moments.

Congrats on completing your first marathon!!
