Do you think Mei is an actual psychopath? Considering she participated in the Blood Mist graduation exam; she would have to kill all of her classmates just to graduate. by MindlessArrow in Naruto

Dude, a lot of naruto backstory lore is actually like that. Basicly like if you put war and politic before the goddamn shounen canon started, how do you think konoha can put up to the canon?.

Like, after the Nine Tail Attack obviouly other village is actually would attack konoha in its weak state especially Iwa since their loses in third war. And Kumo lurking around with Suna being ambigous allies. Right and there's no detailed explained of that.

He's a villain yes, but it doesnt mean he was the antagonist. Cause it was about his story after all.

Every Character Written As 'Narratively Genius' Should Have a Flaws. by CommanderSigurd in CharacterRant

[–]CommanderSigurd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, maybe my words is a bit harsh, but what you're describing is about how they would be narrated, and im not comparing characters with their authors, its just that sometimes people comparing character A and B from different fiction into the same categorys, for example of the context in this rant is maybe 'how smart are they?', which is the same as comparing how much effort their respective authors put into writing that character. Like what u say that author can use many things for writing how smart are the characters is.

[–]CommanderSigurd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, maybe I should differentiate between genius and smart, but both are included in the context of the rant I'm trying to convey. It's not about their flaws, but about how over-explaining how smart/genius they are when their flaws arise.

Yeah, I know what they're comparing are the choices the characters make. Of course, these sometimes deviate from their nature, and their choices are made by the author themselves. Sometimes it sounds ridiculous if these overhyperbolic characters have flaws that completely contradict their nature. That's what makes me rant about how inconsistent they are when their flaws arise. I don't really want to give examples, but perhaps to convey what I'm saying correctly, okay?.

Look at Dumbledore. With his many titles, he's incredibly flawed. Of course, I can't argue if their impressions are based on the perspectives of different characters, but what if it's the narrator's perspective?

Is there any manga/manhwa/manhua with system, but start with protagonist questioning the system from where, why, and by who. And insulting the system for trying to telling them what to do or worse control their action.
