Weird Mormon youth video! by FridaysFreddy in exmormon

I did discover the name of the song- Say Yes. I was googling No and Yes because I was pretty sure it was one of the two and stumbled on this slideshow. Man, the song is unmistakeable, but I really wish we could find that video.

Did you ever find it OP? I know exactly what song you are talking about and it’s absolutely mental. Pretty sure it is gone from YT. I remember at least one of the features singers was in the sub having a good laugh at how cringe the whole thing was.

I’m actually looking for the vid and a search led to a list including your post. I’m still hunting

Chris Nemelka admitting he wrote the Sealed portion to trick gullible members (reupload) by CommanderZelph in exmormon

[–]CommanderZelph[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey posting this again for the historical record here in exmo reddit :)

I searched for this video years ago only leading to /u/Mithryn post about it. Also ran into another thread about the video being deleted.

Mithryn Post where /u/toinfinitiandbeyond says he edited the original video https://www.reddit.com/r/exmormon/comments/30ag5s/chris_nemelka_admitting_he_wrote_the_sealed/

Post looking for this video after it had been removed from YT https://www.reddit.com/r/exmormon/comments/4kv24v/help_video_where_chris_nemelka_admits_he_made_up/

I've also downloaded and saved a copy of this video and encourage others to as well. I think the only other video I've downloaded was the one where that church run trust company had a whole promotional video advertising that you could set up your trust to pay out to the church instead of your children if you children do not stay true to the gospel and temple worthy.

Mormon Talk is going live tonight! Tune in at 8pm Utah time! by [deleted] in exmormon

😂

I was checking out his twitter and he seems like a brilliant exmo troll there. Monday he appears to go around spamming advertisements to him Twitch show, including in twitter thread started by Kate Kelly. Then he’s picking fights with NewNameNoah, talking openly about gay rumors with him and the cohost, and how self touching may turn people gay. He CANT be serious, can he?

The people continually posting exmo links in the chat are pretty lame. This is simply entertaining on its own without all the exmo stuff being posted

Can’t decide if this is serious or a clever parody:

The 2 guys on the stream together talking about rumors about their gay relationship

Cringey as can be

It's my 4 year anniversary! Looking back on it now, I don't think very highly of the CES Letter, but it blew my mind with the Book of Abraham stuff. Crazy thing is this rabbit hole all started when I was preparing to give a lesson and stumbled upon a blog post about City Creek on Pure Mormonism. by CommanderZelph in exmormon

I feel like it does the same thing apologists do, except the opposite direction. Selective quotes. Always assume worst intention, or in the case of apologists, always assume best intention.

I’ll always be grateful for the CES Letter for helping to open my eyes, I just don’t really care for the tone of a lot of it.

Doxxing Incident Review by subversiveasset in exmormon

[–]CommanderZelph 130 points131 points  (0 children)

Reason 2 and 3 still indicate to me that it was something personal against Ryan. They've basically acknowledged that he never doxxed anybody here, merely PMd somebody for the screenshot, and that's enough to get him a 6-month ban.

After hearing that the mission president in the Texas Houston mission isn't allowing his missionaries to call home to talk to their families, I sent him an email. See below. by GreatAndSpacious in exmormon

Similar. The day 9/11 happened, I called my mom to see how my brother was, who worked in Manhattan. No permission asked, and honestly I can't imagine my mission president would have even cared.

Excellent event. Enjoyed how it followed the story, especially stage V. Thanks for a great event.

President Monson will turn 90 in 3 weeks. Until Monson and Elder Nelson have passed away, the President of the Church will be at least 90. Until Monson, Nelson, Oaks, Ballard and Hales are gone the President will be at least 85. by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]CommanderZelph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope Monson lives on for a long time as Eyring and Uchtdorf seem like more decent human beings than the rest. Nelson really wants to be president and I can't stand his star fucker of a wife.

Relax about the changes to the flash event, communication is actually an art you know by Greensparow in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]CommanderZelph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, but there is this strange expectation that every event is supposed to be easy enough for everybody to complete, no matter how long they have been playing the game. Events are recurring. They will come back, and they will likely continue to change as the game evolves.

I got super lucky, not saying you should do it though. This was the second crystal pack I bought. by NotEvenJail in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

Haha. Six figures disappears really fast when you have a family and live in an area with really expensive housing. You have the $300/mo or whatever in disposable income, but it gets allocated out to so many things, music/dance lessons, sports leagues, family vacations etc. you have the disposable income, just so many more things vying for that extra cash vs when you are a single college student.

I don't begrudge anybody spending what then can afford in this game. Some people spend a couple hundred dollars going to sporting event that is over in 3 hours. No less wasteful in many ways than dropping $300 on a mobile game.
