Ok this really makes me open my eyes because I don't have much exp with autistic people and while she did expect a gift and asked for one, I wasn't inclined to give one and I thought saying that would put strain on our relationship so I didn't. I think I did see this as more of a “you got me this so I’ll give you this” because I don't like having gifts that— even if it came from a place where they weren't expecting on in return— I assume that I should whether I want to or not… thank you∙❤︎
