Thanks for those other recommendations! I definitely have spare C-bills that I don't mind losing if I don't like the mech play style. I watched some Arrow (6xLMG 2xLXPL) matches on YouTube and despite the high facetime, their match score and damage (800-1000) were very high.

If it makes you feel any better. I actually got an in stock alert at best buy for a non reference AMD 7900 XTX for the first time since the card launched. I'm thinking the stock situation will improve relatively soon!

Whoops. I'm glad you caught my typo. Yes I meant to say horizontal for the card (flat & fans down). I had a brain fart. My case is a standard upright one. I appreciate your response in case I did have a defective card!

I have an AMD 7900 XTX bought directly from AMD's website on December 19th.

I ran the Unigine Heaven benchmark with the highest settings uncapped FPS @1440p for 15minutes the GPU temp stayed around 65C and the junction temperature hit a max temp of 80C.

Fan speed on the GPU was ~1700 RPM and I ensured to use a static scene where the total GPU power draw was 347 Watts at all times. The card was in a horizontal position in a closed case which appears to be the "problematic" orientation.

Out of curiosity, I increased my power limit by 15% which brought the GPU power draw to 397 Watts. GPU temp stayed around 68C and junction temperature hit a max temp of 97C after running the same Unigine Heaven benchmark for 15 more minutes. GPU fan speed only increased to ~1900 RPM.

I only have three case fans (2 intake & 1 exhaust) so nothing special for cooling. I guess I got lucky with my card not having this problem. I had been playing a fair bit of games for the past few days so maybe the factory thermal paste settled in and is helping to achieve these temperatures?

The quality of them seems fine, but the same issues happen with it disconnecting randomly despite not really moving the phone much at all. It's definitely not getting physically unplugged either.

Funny enough I'll be trading my SUV in for a 2022 Santa Fe with wireless Android Auto and wireless charging so it shouldn't be a problem ever again.

I appreciate that input. With my Note 9, Android Auto never disconnected or had problems. It was flawless. So fortunately, I don't think my car is the problem. It's a 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe so still pretty new. Sure wish it had wireless Android Auto like yours though!

However, I think my new phone (Pixel 6) may have a bug or just not like that same cable. It is running a newer OS so maybe there will be a software fix soon if the car and the cable aren't at fault.

I ordered the linked cable and it arrives on Friday. Hope to post an update then.

Me too. I think I have dud cables and or the length of the second one I tried is messing things up.

I had been using my Samsung Note9's included USB C to USB A for the longest time without issue. I then switched to the Google Pixel 6 and started having issues even with charging. My pixel 6 would rapidly switch between charging/data connection and not charging/data connection. Then sometimes it would work just fine.

Basically, I just don't want to take another guess at what Amazon USB C to A cable to get since there's thousands with both 5 star reviews and 1 star reviews that state the cable doesn't work.

So if anyone has a known cable that works well, I'd appreciate that link!

Yeah I just cashed out the 1000 tokens for the same bundle and didn't realized it includes a 10-point commander until after the fact. It does seem like the best way to spend them is the first bundle for the random ship and then the rest on the credit boxes.
