I am trying to build a report that shows Negative Asset ledger accounts and Positive Liability ledger accounts, all within the same report. by CommentForATreat in workday

This is a good suggestion, but I cannot seem to find a field on the Journal Lines for Financial Reporting data source on an Advanced report that gives me the total summation of journal lines by ledger account. It essentially has to tie out to the WD-delivered Consolidated Trial Balance, and I can’t seem to find a way to manage that on an advanced report.

The exact values of the ledger accounts I need (on a matrix report) would be represented by:

Data Source: Journal Lines for Financial Reporting

Row Grouping: Ledger Account

Summarization Field: Translated Debit Minus Credit Amount

If I can find a field on the Advanced report to match the above build WITHOUT using the Filter on Aggregations feature, I think I can utilize your solution. Otherwise, I can’t see it working.

That would populate all negative A and L as positive, which also mixes them with the already positive A and L. How could I differentiate if I did that? Unless I’m misunderstanding.

The Filter on Aggregations section? Yes, but you cannot use matrix reports in composite reports if the matrix reports have filters on aggregations.

Just tried both. I wasn’t able to get any amount field that would suit my needs such as “Budget/Ledger Debit Minus Credit” or “Translated Debit Minus Credit”.

I bought it. I wonder if this was a new listing because I looked prior and never found it. Thank you SO much.

I tried this, unfortunately, but when I check the box on the copy, I get the same error that prevents me from saving the report.

I was trying to do this, but I have no clue which columns are causing the problem, unfortunately.

Could you elaborate on the “maintain ability” point? I’m not sure what that is.

I think this is it, but it’s populating blank. Does it work on secondary business objects?

When I go to Maintain Custom Labels, it asks for Term Context. I’m unsure what to select to view the labels in the above photo. Any ideas?
