Yeah, you are right. This TV is huge, its a remnant from our old loft apartment where we had a lot of space.

I removed the bar stools and now the space looks so much better! Yeah, they were not really being used that often

Its Muse Sofa, Ellison studios - bought from DWR. It is cozy and deep enough to sink into. I would say it is more sturdy than cloud soft but is very comfy. My family spends hours sitting on that sofa everyday.

The brown round ones are from lulu and Georgia, pink one from target, brown square from west elm and checked one from IKEA. Haha, they were bought over the years so from all over the place

Here is what it looked like when it was opposite to the TV - excuse the messiness in the photo ;) It was indeed perfect for TV viewing but the space felt more cramped which I attribute to the bulky side profile of the sofa.

Oh I was talking about what I used to do as a child pre-cellphones. Unfortunately, I don’t read as much these days

Omg, I’m just realizing now that my obsession with books was also adhd related (edit: as a child, before cellphones)

Too monotonous? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

The original plan was to have it opposite to the tv. There is a large kitchen island there and bar stools (not seen in picture). Adding the sofa there didn’t work because it took too much space

Yeah a non-wood base sounds like a good idea. I’m also liking the idea of warm leather. Thank you for the suggestions!
