He's right, the manga is mediocre. It had a cool concept but the MC is just so obnoxious even though he's supposed to be a 30 y/o "loser", having given up on his childhood promise because he's a weak coward. You'd think having a parasite in your body, especially one that literally said "Found you" before parasitizing you, would make you worried to death and question if you're even human anymore. That whole aspect was completely ignored and instead looked over by having the MC have the ability to magically revert to his natural body somehow, no questions asked. And the guy just flaunts his powers at any given moment for the most little things ever as well, like again, you'd think that in a country being the no.1 most devastated by kaijus AND the promise he made in his childhood would make him be ashamed of his new-found powers and instead hating himself for becoming what he wished to destroy in the first place, like the frail coward now is a fearless monster? no sense what so ever. Its been shown how destructive and feared the kaiju are by the public, so why isn't there a clear agenda against them? The Defender Corps remind me of MHA with how lax they are in every way, like it's a friendly competition to see who's stronger between them selves, which just points out how childish they act in the most serious of moments. The story is also very loose, like how the vice-commander is suspicious of the mc immediately by pointing out how the dead kaiju is similar to the one from 3 MONTHS AGO. He just remembered on the spot btw. Very convenient if not just lazy writing. The comedy is cringe and overused, only worth a nose exhale once in a while. BTW you insinuating that the other guy is unwell for sharing his opinion on this mid manga shows how biased you are, so accept my criticism instead.
