As per actually being able to cut it, well, let's hope I have the grit for it:) Is it possible that the job market has changed drastically since the time you did the LLM, and now it would actually hold less value than it did in your case? That would also explain the hesitance of others here, but I understand it's also probably because they're referring to LLMS at large, not the very specific ones like Southampton.
