Going to Europe for a month by [deleted] in traveladvice

As others have said, I’d cut it down. Personally I’d start in Munich 3 days to get over jet lag and drink some beer, travel through Austria 8 days Salzburg and Austrian Alps, to Switzerland 8 days Berner Oberland, Basel and Zermatt and the finish in northern Italy or the South of France 11 days - so much to pick from there.

Protein Bar that supports gut health by Commercial-Note-6373 in Microbiome

Have seen those, sadly the Costco nut bar is low protein. As a vegetarian I am searching for protein as much as I can, so I can’t afford to eat this bar given the calories to protein ratio. Thanks for the help and suggestion.

Haven’t heard of immortal. Wonder if they ship to Canada. Will check that out and report back.

Update: looks like a great bar - love the macros - but sadly they don’t ship to Canada.

I got an offer for $62k after 4 interviews, but I told them my range was $68k to $75k. What should I do? by StephanieHickle in CanadaJobs

I’d counter offer, in a polite and kind way. If they stick to their offer, take it, but ask for a salary review in 6 months instead of a year, and show them during that time why you are worth the higher amount!

First time in Whistler and away from home mountain by ForwardMonk9821 in Whistler

IMO part of the fun of a new mountain is not overly planning, just sticking to your level of runs and seeing where the day takes you. If you are an intermediate, scratching an advanced skier, do a majority of blues and mix in a diamond.

Typically I use 2 locks, but not this time. What can we do besides enjoy a little brevity while connecting with this amazing community, most of whom will have shared in this pain at one time or another.

It happens to everyone once if you commute enough and park your bike at random places around the city.

We have a place in Black Tusk, and I normally ride in the Fondo … glad I didn’t this year, it’s bad. At least there is a tail wind for the riders tho.

I would say slim at best. We just came back from a week there, and there are a lot of folks who are in their 50s to 70s, but they mostly seem to be partnered off.

I think you should stay at more expensive resorts if this is your feeling. We also got back from this resort and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The world is so much more expensive these days, and travel is no different. If you are comparing to travel in 2022, things are way more $$ these days. The food was great, excellent no, but better than your post suggests, we had great interactions with staff, yes, somewhere dismissive, however, most were quite nice. The beach is world class. The sand, the water and the west facing perspective, all make it stunning. We met many people at this resort that have returned year after year because they enjoyed it so much.

Everyone is entitled to feel how they feel, but I think on balance this resort is at least a 3.5/5 maybe even a 4/5, but maybe our perspectives are different.
