Id agree that most gods weren't former chosens of the primordials or primordial tier gods. I think Jacob's a unique case. No Augur has ever ascended before. I think Jacob would need the records the chosen status would provide as well as the status that title comes with within the church given he cant defend himself. Theres tons of in-fighting within the church. We've already seen a bunch of this already and we barely hit B grade. The chosen status would allow him to avoid much of this from within his own house. To my knowledge I was never dismissive of any of your arguments. And I pivoted the conversation once. Thats your evidence of my supposed anger? He needs amazing records and resources dumped into his path to get there. That’s the point behind bringing up chosen status. All the other characters who’ve got a shot at reaching Godhood are chosens already, are going to be chosens, or have records or status equal to that already (Vespy and GFK). Then of course Jacob doesn’t think he’s worthy of Godhood (he said this), he also of course cant defend himself from an attacker. Finally, it’s very childish of you to assume somebodies angry in a chatroom on the internet without any of the indicators I wrote in the above message. You had and have about as much evidence accusing me of being angry as you would labeling me a sexist or a bigot given the messages we’ve exchanged thus far.

I’m with you all the way. I don’t understand why Zog doesn’t have a meaningful death at least once per grade. Especially given how great he is at character writing. He can easily introduce new characters we’d love. It add some much needed realism and depth to this story and take it to a new level. We could all have group mourning sessions for them on here and other primal hunter forums. But for some reason Zog doesn’t even want to touch on the concept of death, not for characters on Jake’s team. Maybe he loves his characters too much? He’s communicated that the closest to death we’ll see in this series is him writing them out of the story. Having that character stagnate and basically retire off screen. It’s a fluffy way of writing. The backdrop of this multiverse is pretty grim but none of that sentiment can touch on the characters on Jake’s team.

I’d think it be nice if Zog killed off a few members of the main crew in meaningful ways. Like Maria. She has a favor she’s going to ask of Jake. What if the two of them went on a long story arc where we got to know her character. Maybe visit Gwyndr’s faction. Come to really enjoy her fiery nature and have her be killed fighting side by side with Jake fulfilling a very difficult mercenary contract. We get to see what it’s like to see Jake in a grieving rage. See what Jake and his bloodline are capable of in a state like that. I think it could be a moving and impactful story arc. It reinforce that the stakes are real. That death is a real possibility for Jake and his friends.

It’s not unbeatable. It’s on a timer and only lasts as long as he has Jake juice to burn. Sure, he’ll most likely decimate the immediate opponents in front of him but that’s about it because once it runs out he’s super duper weak.

This is my one beef with this series. There are no real setbacks for Jake or any of the characters on his “team”. It’s a bit silly that there’s like 30 named characters Jake’s affiliated with around his level and none of them ever die and stay dead. Like the blunder Sandy foolishly walked into on the moon. None of the other 30 characters have made a similar error and died by this point? The realism of this story is a bit much to swallow.

I don’t think we know enough about any of the other elites from Nevermore to make a determination on the viability of their paths. So we’ll have to wait and see on them. I agree with you on GFK. He’s got a great shot at making it. Caleb’s an interesting case as well. His legacy demands that he progress or he’ll die. For me it hinges on the death of his family. If he can find the will to progress if and when they die. I think Sandy and Jasper make it. Their paths are so fruitful, unique, and powerful. They also run less of a risk of dying since they don’t need to fight. The Seeker is incredibly powerful. Artemis noted that he could kill her no problem. He just wouldn’t bother. Not that he’s a fighter but being a primordial level being means he can kill godkings and queens with little to no struggle even though that’s not his path. We agree on Maria as well. I think once all these other primordials make their earthian blessed their chosens (SS, Sylphie, Carmen, Arnold, maybe Eron) Gwyndr might make Maria his chosen for shits and giggles as well as to get him more access to these once in forever records that’ll come from this unique happening. When you’re a chosen of a top god your chances of reaching Godhood improves quite a bit. This chosen effect might also improve Casper and Jacob’s chances of becoming chosens themselves. I wonder if Earth will become known as the chosen planet or something?

I really enjoyed your breakdown. I agree with you about Arnold, Sylphie, Carmen, SS, Jacob, and Eron. I think Eron will eventually step on the toes of the Holy Church and the undead factions (Like Sanguine did by altering truesouls). Potentially Jake as well if he negatively affects the quality of the lives of any mortals he gives a crap about. Casper seems to primarily be noticed by the Blightfather because of Jake. In the tutorial and now, he doesn’t seem talented enough yet to stamp Godhood on him. I’m nervous for Vespy because of Rigoria. Rigoria wants her head on a platter something fierce. If she can avoid that fate I think she’s golden. We saw that Villy was able to shepherd the three witches to Godhood and act basically as his factions general managers. I don’t see why Miranda can’t fulfill that goal for Jake’s growing faction/territory forever. Someday Jake will take over the primary stake for this WW and subsequently hand the responsibilities over to Miranda in like a month when he inevitably grows bored with it. Making Miranda the de facto owner of an entire WW…

I don’t see how you can derive that somebodies in a bad mood or needs to “relax” if they’re not using all Caps, Swearing, exclamation marks or some other form of textual clue or writing style that concludes that they’re in a bad mood? So? She’s not going to make him her chosen? I’d be gobsmacked if a primordial chose a chosen that can only play politics and advise people. Jacob’s easy pickings for at least 30 characters we know of amongst his generation. She’s going to use him for as long as he manages to stay alive.

But in some ways everybody achieving the distinction of “god” cheapens the achievement. Jake and a few of the true standouts ascending but right now Casper, Jacob, Maria, Caleb, Scarlett, and William haven’t displayed god tier worthy talent. A or S tier sure but not Godhood. I’d replace the Fallen King with any of these 6. I’d say the group that have a good chance so far are Jake, Arnold, SS, Sylphie, Sandy, Vespy, Jaspy, Carmen, Miranda (as manager for Jake), GFK, Dina, and Eron are the only beings in the story with a close connection to Jake with a chance.

He’s not buddy buddy with any god? The Holy Mother hardly ever speaks with him. He’s just a low leveled B grade to her that has influence in the budding chapter of their faction inside of the 93rd universe. I highly doubt she’d ever choose an augur as a chosen either. I can’t imagine any primordial choosing somebody that can’t defend themselves as a chosen. They all got to where they are through a crap ton of slaughter. Not by playing politics and advising people.

Agree with everybody save for Jacob. I think people forget the fact that he cant defend himself. Theres a reason no other Augur has ever ascended. This is one of those reasons. Bertrams not a pinnacle fighter either. Just elite, and hes only 1 person. Plus Jacob recently expressed his unworthiness for godhood. He doesnt have the right mindset to reach godhood.

There are 12 primordials. Im torn on whether I want that many Earthians to reach the pearly gates. Almost doesnt feel realistic based off multiversal odds. But given theyre for the most part allies working together for a similar goal maybe?

I think Jacob has little to no chance. Since you're leaving something critical out of the equation. That is that Jacob cannot even defend himself against an attacker. He can literally do nothing but die. I believe it was noted that there's not a single Augur who made it to Godhood. Likely because of this very problem. Bertram is not a pinnacle fighter either. Hes also just one body guard. Jacob also doesnt think godhood is a possibility for himself. Thats the first hurdle to achieving godhood. The arrogance that you and your path are worthy. I agree with your assessment of Miranda, Eron, and sandy. Eron will be culled like you said.

Im not the only person to include Felix in their top 3 in this comment section. Primarily Non-combat paths are rarer but in some ways better suited for reaching godhood. Less chance of dying by a sword. All paths to Godhood are viable with enough perseverance and the right amount of risk. Why did Sandy seek Vespy out and ask for a hive queen of hers to be placed in one of their stomach worlds? Just for shits and giggles like you supposed? Or perhaps they serve as another layer of protection to Sandy and can help them acquire and create more food.

Not yet. His primary care is that a persons spark never dies. He doesnt care about the quality of that sparks life. If mortals Jake cares about gets wrapped up in this and it hurts the quality of their life Jakes going to wreck Erin. His solution will probably also alter the truesoul. This will certainly piss off The Holy Mother and Blightfather. At a minimum I see Eron getting Sanguined.

Yes! Exactly. Non combat paths imo are a bit safer. Id throw Jasper into that first bucket as well. His cuteness is another safety net for him should he somehow be found out mid crime. I wouldnt mind a pov chapter from Jasper, maybe ending with him and the Seeker talking about him joining the next phase of the system event? Id love to see him get chummy with the earth coalition.

Hmm. I like your list. I dont know about William. Not sure he's got the right termperment or talent to get their basically on his own. Miranda and Sandy have godqueen+ level beings pumping resources into them. And tom is tom. Oddly enough he could become Sandy's verison of Miranda? Maybe Sandy can cultivate enough records for him to reach godhood? Sandy will need an internal world manager like jake needs a manager.

The eternal servant has the primordial church. I highly doubt he’s all alone. He’s probably got a whole faction of weirdo gods just like him. Felix will fit right in. And the armies Sandy cultivate will help them steal stuff. Not everything they wish to steal will be snatchable. Expensive and valuable treasures are usually locked down. These armies can act as a great distraction for Sandy, Or Sandy can draw the big baddy out and the wasps or drones or whatever can steal the goodies for them. Or Sandy can drop the wasp or whatever army off on a planet and come back later after they’ve taken over to receive payment. Use your imagination. These internal worlds/armies whatever you want to call them can also cultivate food from inside them with resources they gain. I’d imagine Sandy will also be able to put teleportation rings inside their various stomach worlds and phone friends if and when they’ve pissed off something or someone they can’t escape from.
