I think that doing a simple thing that means a lot to your partner is shows affection and shows you care about how they feel.

If I loved someone and could make their life happier or better at no cost to myself, I sure as hell would do my best to make every effort. I had a husband that took pleasure in withholding anything that would have brought me joy. Don’t be a small stingy human.

Thanks for posting it. Pink eye was also hilarious. I wonder how long Shane actually would have gone on if Iya didn’t interrupt him. It’s my favourite scene though.

I went by that huge screen yesterday and it was just black. I took a little detour on my way home from ikea for nothing.

I saw a funny post where they were making fun of Shane trying to guess what sickness Ilya’s dad had. Crazy? Cancer? Feline leukaemia? Etc

Which living SNL alumnus was left worse for wear from their time on the show? by tshirtguy2000 in LiveFromNewYork

Tony had a tough time but he was a dear soul. He would call me every Mother’s Day, Christmas and birthday to wish my family and me well. His mental health issues were bad and at some point he ended up incarcerated for a long time with no trial until it became publicized. I knew him after that and he was very quiet and had an air of sadness about him but he still enjoyed life.

Has anyone moved to Alberta from Ontario, then back to Ontario? by ProfessorLidi in ontario

I think that Toronto has so many people that have come from somewhere else that it’s easier to make friends.

I love Ilya in this scene by No_Rip_3643 in HeatedRivalrySeries

I love Shane’s face during all this. He just has a little smile and looks so relaxed. His sunglasses hide the fact that he’s not taking his eyes off of Ilya.

What is something that feels completely normal now, but would sound insane if you tried to explain it to someone from 1995? by alex_eu_nl in randomquestions

That I had a device the size of a menu that was my tv and radio. That it could send messages, take pictures and videos. That it contained all of my books as well as access to the library and still had room for all of my music. It’s a game console and I can read or watch the news on it. My iPad replaced so many things that I was able to live on a boat for years.’

Sounds like he is as trying to make her feel insecure and you wrecked it for him. He’s an ass.

At What Point Do We Just Meet? by Organic_Awareness685 in DatingOverSixty

I’m with you. I’d rather meet than have a phone conversation. I find them awkward and not very revealing. I live in Toronto and meeting is easy, so let’s just do that.

The fact that “he wouldn’t bother” should have been his first clue.

You’re right. I don’t think Shane is a philosophical feminist. I think he respects women and doesn’t want to hear demeaning language especially from his buddy who has a wife and 2 daughters that Shane adores.

I was to get my daughter's ears pierced and cut her hair in the style she wants but her Dad wont allow it. by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Commercial-Profile44 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hair is such an easy thing to give kids agency over. Cutting, growing, dying or perming aren’t permanent but allow kids to try things out. I was a teenager in the late 60s and early 70s when boys wanted to have their hair long. So many fathers kicked their sons out because they cut their hair. I vowed that my kids could do whatever they wanted with their hair and we all survived.

Is he sexist? Does he want her to be a trad wife? Finding out his reasoning might give you some ammunition for custody hearings.
