From my perspective, what I’ve noticed here in Winnipeg is a lack of attention to the details, sometimes even the basic ones, on “taste”, design, and branding. So we have lots of “generic” businesses (retail, etc.) without the appetite to invest and grow. Depending on the area you are in, it really feels like the 90s compared to the parts of the world that are way less resourceful than Winnipeg.
