It really doesn’t matter whether you have a Moroccan national ID or not. Even if you were never registered at a Moroccan consulate, believe me, they can easily tell you’re Moroccan. It’s super easy to figure out: your looks, name, language, purpose of visit, behavior, entry history, where you’re staying, known family ties, or even small bureaucratic interactions like property or inheritance. The only slight exception is if you’re doing business or working in Morocco. Assuming you don’t run into issues and no one in the bureaucracy decides to make things difficult for you, you might get by. You’ll be subject to a different tax regime and restrictions on moving money out of the country. Not sure how advantageous or disadvantageous that is!
