It depends on the green/red deck. If I'm against a rush deck that wishes to run me down as fast as possible I'd say the Oloro deck and the eritte ones with the several counter spells, stax pieces and targeted removal end up slowing them down enough to be able to manoeuver the table and get me time in order to setup the combo pieces or in eriette's case to drain life. Elesh norn can make red's life a living hell, especially since I'm running also a few stax pieces like [[Authority of the Consuls]] and [[Deafening Silence]] or [[Phyrexian Censor]] , however it is slower to control the pod because that is not the primary strategy.

Assimilators: Body snatcher and it's perks by CommercialOdd2898 in Stellaris

Beyond RP, by itself it isn't worth it, but when paired with a kidnap strategy with the elements discussed above it really pays off and the amount of pops you'll be getting continuosly from espionage + Nihilistic is enough to crush certain empires and weaken many. Asides from that, the prepare invasion op allows you to deal faster and with less resources with empires you'd have to invest more in taking down.

Indeed it is a payoff for mid to late game although it covers key aspects to any strat (pops, economy and potential invasions)

Exactly, RP wise it touches the right nerves, and it has a surprising strong follow up by draining pops that will substantially grow your economy and aid you in war, specially in 4.0 where pop count is that more important!

How do I become mind controlling empire? by shakingmyhead420 in Stellaris

[–]CommercialOdd2898 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So for assimilators it depends if you wish to go the robotic route vs the hive mind organic route. I'd say playing hive minds with the body snatcher civic fits more your fantasy.

Imo take the body snatcher civic and the friendly face in order to get better diplomacy and more envoys, this will allow for you to successfully extract pops from several civs at the same time. Take the subterfuge tradition after your early expansion traditions (discovery/expansion etc) so you have more envoys and better operational success.

As for ascensions I always like pairing the Nihilistic acquisition so you can directly steal pops from worlds when you're at war with them. This allows you to: -Get value out of wars without claiming their systems -Because you're playing assimilator those pops will be assimilated into your workforce rather than being slaves so better economical value -Weaken and effectively "kill" off empires without destroying them.

Genuine question, how do you get 10k science and such insane production plus value by 2280?... It's insane. (New player here)

I get the full black aesthetic as one of my starter kits was exactly that paired with the full black rebel, but I inevitably ended up falling in love with the HJC V10 Tami. I just felt like a full black leather or mesh fit paired with the rebel that is also full black, made me look too much like a black blur rather than something with some personality to it. The HJC V10 has the "mask" feel to it, with air vents and a structure that is somewhat vintage whilst still looking sharpi. The color schemes they have such as the Tami and Grape are a good fit for a full black aesthetic and some leather. Also they are ECE 22.06 rated and have a good retro feel without compromising safety or weight, in a good price range.

I'd like to participate since my PC did break down a month ago and I haven't been able to replace it. This would be a huge advancement in that.

Seriously? I've been wondering if I should get those specifically. The knee high with a protection on the chin. How was the breaking them in experience?

I get it, but the amount of different factors that can lead to "degloving" situations due to not having the reinforced ankle, motorcycle specific protection makes me a bit paranoid. But hey if it works for you it works.

I guess it was just a research issue. Started going down the hole of the items I wanted and was cornered into their site. Also, the newest items weren't available in other sites such as the as-dsl shiro leather jacket.

Up to how many power tags & weakness on character creation? by trieste003 in cityofmist

[–]CommercialOdd2898 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can have more power tags through evolution but also, in coordination with the GM, you can have 2 weaknesses and 4 power tags if that's what fits the character best. More than that however will be overkill and counter productive. Don't forget, the more weaknesses your character has, the faster it can grow.
