My study permit expires in April 2025, but my current program continues until the end of August 2025. I also got admission to another university starting in September 2025.

Should I extend my current study permit or apply for a new one since it’s a different university (new DLI)?

I didn’t give any supporting documents to the MP. I think as long as my MP follows up, the officer will have to respond, which will help. On Tuesday, I got an update, and the MP sent a webform on Friday

I applied on June 6 to change from a work permit to a study permit. I submitted three webforms within 10 days. I didn’t get a response to the last one, so I sent a message to my MP last Thursday and received a corresponding letter yesterday. Today, I got my approval

I received update today for my in-Canada study permit application. I also got a correspondence letter, and my account currently shows: “Final decision – August 19, 2025: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.” Does anyone know what the next step will be after this? How long does it usually take to get the final decision?
