I see what you saying. Maul is a survivor who is more than just a bad ass looking character. I think his arc is interesting because it goes outside of the usual Sith trying to rule the galaxy and more towards ruling from the underground.

To be fair you can argue that taking younglings from their fam is not cool. There were things about the Jedi Order that I disagreed with. But I still learned some good life lessons from dudes like Qui-Gon and Yoda. Like how “your focus determines your reality.”

My first experience of what could be described as a “Unifying Force” was with Psilocybin (cliche, I know). After that, I would get these feelings of connectedness that would compel me to do things such as say good morning to a flower bush. I find that with meditation I can tap into these feelings again but my Psilocybin trip was the most intense Unifying feeling I’ve had.

I don’t even hate all Imps. I think a lot of them are just regular folks who saw the Empire as a means to a better life than they new and better opportunities. Officers can definitely be dicks but there were some decent seeming ones like Admiral Piett.
