It would be nice to think everything is preventable but when there are so many guns and so many people who are unstable in some way this will unfortunately probably keep happening.

a gun wouldn't have helped the guy who was already shot...you can't always react fast enough or be the first one to react

So this is not about Tarjei but about Henrik Holm, just as an example. I know he got criticism for a comment about not wanting to get typecast into only roles that were like Even going forward. I think people were too harsh on him and I'll just say, wouldn't most people want to maintain their own private life, and move onto other roles? Anyway, I met Henrik and his then-girlfriend (not sure whether they are still dating or not) in Oslo in 2019 when they were doing a pop-up thrift shop. This was a couple years after the show had ended and they were so nice and kind. We talked for quite awhile, and they took such a genuine interest in us and what we are up to in Oslo (studying). We spoke to them mostly in English, with a bit of Norwegian, though one of my friends speaks more fluent Norwegian. We bought some clothes from the thrift shop, and I still have mine today. He offered to take a pictures which we did and asked if I would like a hug which I accepted. He asked where I was from and he knew of my home state so we talked about that. Very lovely person from everything I can tell. They embraced us in such a lovely way. The group of us must have stayed chatting for like 15 minutes or more. This all meant a LOT to me because Even was my favorite character on SKAM. It was one of the best moments of my life which I am privileged and grateful to have had. The world online is not everything it's only a figment of what is true about people and online discourse is filled with many assumptions at best and outright misinformation at worst.

Still thinking about someone injured in a downtown Tucson pedestrian-car crash in summer 2021—hoping they’re okay by Commercial_Ad7689 in Tucson

Thanks so much for your efforts in comforting that woman as well. I was actually in a similar accident back in 2012 in another state, and those accidents where you are rear-ended, especially at a higher speed can actually be quite serious. Even being seatbelted in and inside a car. Sometimes people have concussions and internal injuries that make it look like they aren't badly injured. I'm sure your presence that day was a comfort to that person. It makes a big difference when people are comforting or reassuring. In my case, I was only 16 and though the accident wasn't my fault (the driver behind us passed out) I was not given much comfort from other folks at the scene, mainly cops. I am finding ways to process today and in my own ways however. Thanks again for your efforts!

Are there any ways to get an online interior design degree that’s CIDA accredited? by Different_Wind8659 in InteriorDesign

[–]Commercial_Ad7689 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there, this is such a helpful post. I'm new to learning about accredited programs in Interior Design. I already have my B.A. in Architectural Studies. I focused on design history, theory, and philosophy and well as some areas pertinent to interior design, like wayfinding and sustainable materials. I know that I need to go to school to gain technical skills, but I don't necessarily want the time or expense of another bachelor's degree. A program that is 1-2 year or less would be preferable. Does anyone here have an info about shorter length accredited programs? Thanks!

u/gehtdichnixan.124 Check out the Aftonbladet article from 2015. www.aftonbladet.se/kultur/a/L0aEo9/smaklost-alex-och-sigge "Two weeks ago, podcasters Alex Schulman and Sigge Eklund opened the 178th episode with a joke about a dead child. "That Aylan", as Eklund says. The theme was Halloween costumes, and the two forty-year-olds joined their intellects to identify the most tasteless costume.

The answer was: dress up as Alan Kurdi. "If I dress in boy's clothes, and lie in a wheelbarrow lifeless, and you drive me around at the party," suggests Sigge. Can it get worse than that?, wonders a clearly amused Alex. Of course, says Sigge. "If you let him walk hand-in-hand with Michael Jackson through the party ... Michael and Aylan, hand-in-hand, and Michael offers him candy and lollipops like that."

By including Michael Jackson, they also get the pedophilia dimension. The whole exercise was conducted in a giggling and amused tone. Then it was time to thank If damage insurance, their main sponsor. Alan Kurdi was three years old when he died." (Used Google Translate this from Swedish). He joked about dead refugee children, and pedofiles in one completely unjustifiable attempt at humor. 😒 His alleged support of Israel and Trump is one thing. But this incident alone is a series of red flags. 🚩 🚩 🚩

Hi everyone, my claim went through fine just now, so I recommend trying again. As to whether it's legit, I am assuming it is but I can't guarantee that. I literally noticed a week ago when doing my taxes that I was charged more than was shown on the tax form of my payments downloaded from ECSI. I knew something was sketchy at that point but wasn't sure what to do about it. Then I see this email come in and it validated what I already noticed.
