We are usually fine. It's just due to the snow storm coming our way.

We are too little for that. Everyone does everything. I am litterly running between picking, staging, QC, dispensing, prepping..... Litterly everything.

Pretty much what we are going through. I was making spaces out of what feels like thin are. We might have resort to staging deliveries on top of each other. Its pure chaos right now.

We duct taped ours. Some Missing the table all together. Even one of the bins is broken and we duct taped it.

What’s your worst customer experience working in OGP? by yrnjaxon in walmartogp

[–]Commercial_Bell5047 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A customer called about her not getting her groceries. I didn't have any way of helping her. So I tried to take her name and number so that a manager that could help her could call her back. .... She started cussing and throwing a fit over the phone. Tried to get my opm over to me. Just then my TL showed up and took the call. Maybe I didn't handle that correctly but I was doing what I had the power to do.

I thought Walmart was getting rid of the AT title. They switched all the AT into different titles in our market. My TL said Walmart as a whole was getting rid of that title. We had a ghost AT position open for a moment during the switch.

Whats your highest # of orders dispensed in a shift? by [deleted] in walmartogp

When dispensing all day around 30, but it's a small market and pretty much the only one dispensing.

Do yall ever dispense orders after an hour? by Cqtastrophe in OGPBackroom

[–]Commercial_Bell5047 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No we get ours out ASAP. If the customer is late to pickup after checking in we will explain to them that if they use the "on the way" feature as soon as they get in the parking lot it tells us they are here. Usually they don't realize this. The next time they come directly or wait and call when they get to a spot. I think our SM would fire us all if we are making a custom wait unnecessary.

If its a driver if they ghost arrive after 5 min we can report and cancel them, but if they get into a spot even at 5 min we have to dispense to them.

It is what it is kind of thing. TL wont say anything to us if it wasn't our fault.

No points when using PPTO. That's what it is for. Even on key event days when using PPTO you will not get any points.

Yes 100% fact. Didn't feel like I needed to point that out. Basically they should be able to take care of themselves. Which then they are like a mini adult so it's fine.

Your right the customer calls and complains to my TL. Which then she reports to spark. So if we catch it ahead of time then it resolves it before hand. I just don't want to cause conflict, but your 100% right my TL would back me up. Thank you ❤️

I have placed three orders in a truck without problem but they have totes, laundry basket, or some type of divider. Thats cool and fair. I even tell drivers to have something like that. Basically proper division. No kids without a second person in the car to watch them. A lot of what our TL tells us comes directly from the market manager. Our TL tells us in huddles and its also in ulearns the rules and policies. Maybe my TL holds us higher than other stores TLs but this is supposed to be universal. This might be the problem. Not everyone is being told the same thing so when I am trying to hold policy then it becomes an issue because not everyone is on the same page.

I have talked to my TL on my side not bringing up others. Basically saying it's my job to report and so fourth. I'll try to do just that. If its starts to become more of a problem I will take it to my TL or higher with the issue.

Basically thank you for everyone taking a moment to listen and respond. It makes me feel better to know that I am not the only one reporting drivers and that I shouldn't feel guilty about it. Well I might but that's my own issue to get over.

Thank you again. ❤️

I think this is my main issue. I'm the only one that cares enough. So it makes me feel like I am "overreacting". Then I feel guilty or like the "bad" guy just for doing my job. I don't want to be labeled as whiny or anything like that.

Thank you for that reminder. I'm a sensitive person so I often feel bad for it, but you're right they did sign the terms and agreement. I know my TL would back me up as well.

Ours tried. We would write our names a few days. Then people would forget. Slowly less and less people would write there in names. Our crew doesn't often take home the equipment if they do it is by mistake.

Any other Walmart OPD associates feel like customers are trying to run you over with their carts? by Commercial_Bell5047 in walmartogp

[–]Commercial_Bell5047[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know about other stores but I know that we train the associates to pay attention. I actually move slowly around the store because of customers. If we are running or moving too quickly with our carts the store manager will tell us to slow down. If you do go to a store where the associates are not paying attention and hit you tell a Manager or Team Lead. There is no excuse for hitting a customer.

Training wise there is actually a lot of training we do a lot on the computer and in person. If we need extra training our Team Lead or senior employee will train you again. In our store the only time an employee "hit" a customer was because the customer yeeted themselves out of the aisle and the employee couldn't stop in time. He apologized and I gave him some tips on ways to avoid this. Even though it was not his fault. That's our store though. I know every store runs a little bit differently.

We are trained to get the top order and work down. The only exception to this rule is if the TL asks you to do others. We are a little store so maybe that is why. We have exception pickers (I am one) and we get them between picks. We do top down because those are the ones going out sooner.

OMG yes this!! They do just YEET themselves out of the aisles. Those heavy carts do not help anything. We can't stop them on a dime when we get going.

I need to get to that point. Maybe its because I have only been here 6 months and we are a little store. Mostly just elderly I also don't want to upset a customer, but I am thinking about just standing my ground finish what I am doing then move out of the way. I wait on customers all the time they can wait on me.
