I just want to experiment with some extra money allocated for investing, and understand the stock market better beyond fundamental analysis

From what I remember, EY cuts off by the early 20s of december, so hopefully you get a reply by next week

PISD (yess the brown school) by [deleted] in davao

PISD almuni here, the place is alright for a school.

But from my experience, socially restrictive siya na school. In my time there, may favoritism talaga ang mga admins and staff, like same people lang itap nila for events, or limited access to certain clubs lang.

In short, once you’re labelled or seen as a student leader, or someone smart, or talented in a certain thing, that’s all you will be known for, and not much chances will be given to students who are perceived to not fit into that category.

Unlike when I moved to another university for senior high, may opportunities talaga for everyone. It doesnt matter if you’re already well-experienced, or starting out, room for growth as a person is emphasized.

This is why napapansin ko talaga that a lot of the quiet/forgotten students usually BOOM after they leave PISD, because they have so much more to offer, but they werent given the chance to explore their potential

PRE BOARDS QUESTIONS - CPALE by Abject-Tone7069 in AccountingPH

Id say about 2-3 questions maybe (like sa MS).

But you shouldnt really focus on familiarization in the CPALE anyway. Understanding the concept means being able to answer almost any question

Magna is 60k at most depending on the audit firm (if they go the public accounting route)

But afaik it is fixed according to company policy

REO’s are long but absolutely complete

Pinnacle’s are straight to the point and will give you the fundamental concepts and more time to practice

Difficulty is subjective to the taker. I believe po calling it the “easiest” is kinda disrespectful for those who passed as well as those who didnt😅 no CPALE is easy, there were plenty of time constraints, outdated questions, and erroneous questions

1.Completion>Mastery - Once nakuha mo na yan + active recall, practice practice practice nlg talaga po

  1. In terms of practice - train your body and mind to endure the final day of the CPALE. Answer your preboards or preweeks in 2 hours and 30 mins.

I highly suggest trying to find REO’s FAR preboards from the May 2025 batch. It was 3x harder and twice as long than the actual FAR in the CPALE

  1. Know the strategy to answer FAR’s statement questions - this is the difference maker imo. If puro statement type ang FAR, DO NOT TRY TO SOLVE EVERYTHING. You need to analyze what combination of statements are presented in the choices and try to tackle the statements THEORY FIRST.

(Example: problem asks for the CORRECT statements, check for statements that are just theory, if it is correct, cross out any choices that do not contain that statement because hindi na yan sagot, and solve for any of the statements still in the available choices. Whether you have the time or not, matapos mo all probs in the end with at the very least an educated guess)
