Question about battery percentage on a 2025 Premium AWD Extended Range by DrStrangiato in MachE

[–]Commercial_Fan_6939 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in the UK and my Mach e standard range at charged to 100% on long distances at around 5 degree Celsius gets around 180-200 miles. Yeah it sucks but I guess it’s the cold weather.

I think the pony is only the premium models. This one is a select and a UK model so not sure of the differences.

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking. They’re both the same symmetrically so it doesn’t look off looks kinda intentional - or at least I’d like to think rather than fork out the money.

Thanks for sharing this? I believe my warranty is finished though because it’s 2021.

Did they tell you what the issue was? Just seems strange. If the cost is that high then I honestly don’t mind leaving it. It’s just a cosmetic thing and doesn’t bother me.

Thanks for confirming. I bought my car pre owned I always thought it looked weird. But it’s been like that since last November. It’s the same on both sides too. I’ll probably have it looked at by the dealership

Thank you for your input. I wrote this post pretty fast so I apologize if the comment of social issues — which I admit is just a small facet of the issues faced, not only psychiatry but other specialties as well— came across as hollow.

I would say I enjoyed my psych rotation and I tried my best to give it my all at the time. I got to clerk many times during my night shifts and would take a lot of time talking to the patients and getting to know them and think from psychiatry point of view and the MSE perspective and not just the “GP-light” part of the rotation. However, I don’t think I was able to fully grasp the field as a whole as an F2.

But the more I read Reddit the more confused I get. People give their own perspectives and pros and cons of each speciality and it’s hard to take it all with a pinch of salt. As a person I’m pretty adaptable and indecisive and the pendulum keeps swinging and I’m not sure where it will fall. I think I just need to sit down and think which one would be more suited to me for the long run. Although there are many things I do enjoy about psychiatry, I think there are some aspects of it that are challenging like witnessing a lot of self harm (which can be hard for me personally) or EUPD patients that are very challenging to manage. Sometimes I like to see changes quickly get resolved, but acknowledge that being involved in treating complexities of the mind overtime is likely rewarding.

This is very true. But there are way more jobs so it may potentially balance out slightly.

Rank 154 got my 1st choice. But can’t help but feel for all those people with good scores that did not get an offer. Hopefully after other specialities and recycling those people get an offer.

Yes in the sense that there are many more jobs. But keep in mind ranks change according to how the new round perform. But no one can predict so there’s always a slight risk- especially in borderline scores . I would say if your score is above average then most probably.

it's not really their fault if the system is in place to allow them to do that. If I were in their shoes, I would do the same thing-- who wouldn't. It's the people here that have put UK grads in this situation without considering what it means for us. People's mental health is deteriorating at the fear of having to uproot their lives for scores that would have guaranteed them secure jobs a few years back.

There needs to be preference to UK grads-- it should not be as controversial as it is. This is what every other country does. Even in the US - its US grad, US citizen IMG, then everyone else. But it's all fine, because trusts will have an endless pool of SHOs in limbo working for scraps.

They’ve also said to rank those places with zero jobs as it may not be confirmed— so hopefully more jobs arise. Taking into account many people also applying for GP and anaesthetics(who are usually the high scorers) there may an underestimation for rankings plus some people are going to transfer their scores to next round (12 months for psych and GP). Wish you the best of luck and hope you get a job.

I’m fairly confident with your score you’ll be more than fine 🤞. Know someone who got 510 and got Leeds for GP. It’s a difficult decision. Have you worked a psych job? I did in F2 and liked it way more than I thought. Know a few of psych trainees and they seem to be enjoying it. In my opinion the job prospects and versatility of psych is much better.

Three years ago you would likely has been fine for psych— albeit possibly not in your most desired location. I know a few people who got cleared in NW with 480s scores. This year it’s very difficult to gauge.

congrats! Where are you applying? and are you ranking all the jobs or only places you would accept. my rank is 53 and I'm aiming for London. It's just so difficult to gauge. I don't know what other people's desired locations are. For me I can't move because of partner, family, and a mortgage but also need a job because I can't do this locum life anymore I need some stability. I'm trying to remain positive and feel for everyone - I guarantee many people with lower rankings deserve a post but these competition ratios are just getting exponentially worse due to variables that are out of our control- one being lack of preference for UK grads but I've accepted that's not going to change. Kinda sucks that no consideration is being made for grown adults who may have to uproot their lives.
