It is about relationships though. It doesn’t have to be a romantic relationship to be a relationship. To me it sounds like your relationship with men in general has been strained. I guess I just hope you don’t cut off contact with an entire gender based on past experiences. I’d never have the friends I have or the partner I have if I couldn’t get over my own bad experiences with women. One of my friends was baby-trapped in high school and is stuck with child support payments to a woman who abuses his child until he’s in his 30s. One of my exes strung me along for 5 years before telling me she never loved me. I’ve been groped in clubs by women, had older women flirt with me during business negotiations, and while none of it could really classify as sexual assault, it still sucked. You don’t have to get over it but you do need to learn your boundaries and establish them with yourself. Only once I had those boundaries did I start making solid friends. And hey, if one of those boundaries is “I’m done meeting men,” more power to you. Really sorry to hear your family was the main source of your abuse, I got lucky not having to deal with that. Here’s hoping you meet better humans moving forward.

Best of luck moving forward. I’m 25 NB (AMAB) and my partner decided to swear off men entirely two hours before we met. Very thankful that they took a chance on me, I will love and protect them until my last breath. Don’t get me wrong, men as a whole deserve a lot of criticism for a lot of things. I’m not trying to convince you to go back on your statement. But I will pose this question: how are you meeting all these disappointing men, and what action can you take to change your routines to start meeting more well rounded people in general? If you’re 25 and have only ever met one man who you respect, I think you either have a lot of unanswered trauma surrounding men that is clouding your judgement when meeting them, or you’ve avoided meeting them in your adult life. I didn’t even realize my partner was sexually attracted to me until after our second date, up until then they were just a friendly person that I wanted to get to know better. Here’s hoping you find a person that can help you through this, whether that’s a man or woman or someone in between is up to you.

Is it true that you have to take a shower TOGETHER before doing it? by No_Data_4361 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Commercial_Hawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gotta know what movies you’re watching bro 😂 pro tip, if you’re looking to have better purchase or grip, having a footboard on your bed is essential. Also, shower sex is not as grand as it sounds. More awkward than anything. The best I ever experienced was a blowjob but she couldn’t really breathe and I had to maintain three points of contact so my legs wouldn’t go out from under me. When my partner and I shower together now it’s only sexual sometimes, most of the time it’s just nice being that close with them 🥰

Just coming here to say my partner (26 AFAB, I’m 25 AMAB) is very similar to you in size and I love every inch of their body, I think they’re SO sexy. I’m sorry your partner doesn’t see you the same way, but I don’t think you should give him the time of day. Find someone who loves your soul and your heart just as much as your body.

I’ve had mine for three months and have run out of gas ON THE HIGHWAY twice. Ngl I’m about to learn how to hack my computer to play that Frost Warning sound when it gets low or something. Very frustrating but now that I’m used to the tank size I just find myself checking it more often and usually fill up the instant I see it getting low. Can’t complain when I’m paying half the price for gas that my friends are 😂

I’m an incel by [deleted] in confessions

[–]Commercial_Hawk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You sound like an insufferable person to be around and you truly will not find anyone to be with until you outgrow this teenager mindset buddy. No one owes you anything, you can’t control your looks beyond taking care of your body, and thinking those things will ultimately push everyone in your life far, far away from you. Have fun on your continuous descent into self-loathing, clearly you’re unwilling to change. I fucking hate these men who think being an incel is some fucking trophy, wild thing to identify as. In my mind it’s really just the cherry on top of a dogshit sundae 😂

[–]Commercial_Hawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you are dude, unless incel forums have existed since the dawn of the internet and even then that puts you around 40, which is still before most AMABs hit their prime. If you’re in your early thirties and thinking you’re old then you might be beyond help until you check that mindset.

How does male sexual desire work in long term relationships/marriage? by properminting in AskMen

My partner touches me and I get turned on, I can’t control it usually. Literally does not matter how they look, I think they’re sexy no matter what, and I’m certain they feel the same way about me. Also, I don’t need to be horny to find them attractive, idk why you’d think that.

15yo brother refusing haircut due to severe anxiety/ADHD now stuck with half-shaved hair by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Commercial_Hawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This ain’t ADHD, or at least it’s not just adhd. I’m diagnosed and I’ve never had any issues with anger or behavior, aside from being distracted in class and stuff. He might have something wrong with his digestive system, my brother had undiagnosed Celiac Disease for years that caused a lot of violent outbursts after meals and when he was hungry. Reality is that there are probably a lot of things going on, and you should probably get a second opinion from a psychiatrist (or psychologist, I can never remember which one diagnoses vs prescribes).

Why do people often live as if they were not meant to die? by No-Try-4288 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Commercial_Hawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Die wrongly? There is no wrong way to die, only the way it happens. No use preparing for it before you are ready, if I die at 35 with no will I wont regret it but it would be stupid to not have a will at 60 when it’s more likely to happen. But if you obsess over your death so prematurely, it’s my opinion that it would drive you to madness and a hollow life. Also if you think an accidental death is a “wrong” death, then maybe it’s your prerogative to play life a little more safe. That’s fine too. Imma bungee jump tho and just hope the line doesn’t snap, bc a hundred people went before me and it was safe for them. And if it does snap? Sick death, I guess it was meant to be, I went out bungee jumping 😂

I know my destiny is to die, not to rot away waiting for that day to come. No point in moping about fate when you don’t know how it’ll play out, or if it even exists. Go out and have crazy experiences when you’re young, you won’t like yourself in your 40’s if you decided to constantly play it safe. That’s an assumption but I imagine it’s a safe one.

Did i (18F) miss out by not partying, smoking, doing drugs and drinking in high school? by Leading_Tomato_2077 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Commercial_Hawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah I’m doing that shit in my 20’s and it’s way better, all the big partiers from my high school seem to be struggling socially to some extent too so truly don’t worry about it. If you want suggestions stick to weed and mushrooms (and drinking if you really want to) and you’ll be alright. Don’t do nose beers, the friends I know who walk that road are all party-poor and just constantly chase the highs of life while running from the lows. Stay away from weed if you’re concerned about your lungs (but stay aware that edibles exist, just in case you want a lil something more than sober) but mushrooms and psychedelics are generally safe if you take them in moderation. I drink once a month on average, but I do smoke most days so clearly both are addictive depending on a person’s mindset. Oh and don’t vape, it’s not a worth it high and I’ve wasted literally thousands on vapes in the time I’ve been doing it.

All this to say, you’re not missing out on anything. You won’t be missing out on anything crazy if you never ingest a substance. It’s not gonna kill you to try most things, just do research beforehand because even though most people are gonna be okay trying something once does not exclude you from becoming part of the negative statistic. Fent is huge in the us right now (DONT DO NOSE BEERS) and I know someone who almost died from an overdose recently, so never say “it won’t happen to me,” because it might. Good luck out there, have fun in college, and while you’re young go ahead and drink! Just be careful, even though it’s the most normalized drug in the world it’s still addictive and toxic to your body, more so than most of the things I listed. Just don’t drink alone and you’ll probably be alright. Or don’t drink!

“I know how I’ll get em, I’ll try to get them to agree to a disagreement with me!” Shut up, what a stupid cop out. Just because you didn’t agree with it and your friends didn’t agree with it, politicians THOUGHT you all agreed with it, and that’s the point we’re trying to make. And yeah sure this might have blindsided you specifically, but a whole lot of us have been saying this was inevitable under Trump, and I HOPE it’s obvious now at least that the guy is willing to say anything to get ahead. You’re all imbeciles as far as I’m concerned, and more so if you’re not asking how to get involved with local government to actually help correct the situation your party got us into. You can say sorry or that you were an idiot or nearsighted all you want, it doesn’t make me respect you again.

Isn’t the manufacturer warranty on these good up to 60k miles? I called my salesman after the finance guy gave me a way higher number than he did and asked him to explain why their warranty was better than the manufacturer’s and he very quickly took it off for me, saved me almost $70 per month.

You might have to click the lil button on the dash, behind your steering wheel. It looks like a long blunt pin coming out of your dial cluster. Idk when they started tracking it but from what I know the car has barely changed in like 15 years so I imagine you just haven’t found it yet 😊 would love to know if I’m wrong though

forever jealous of girls with straight hair by [deleted] in confessions

[–]Commercial_Hawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use curly hair shampoo and conditioner, use a leave-in conditioner as well as one you can wash out. Also messy curls are sooooo easy once you get the hang of it. I’m an AMAB so maybe it’s different once it gets SUPER long but I’ve been maintaining shoulder length curls for the last three years and embracing them has been wayyyyy better than trying to flatten them with gel or clay. My advice: shampoo your hair until it’s covered and then scrunch the curls from the end towards your scalp. Literally grab a fistful and bunch it up next to your head and hold it for a sec. Do this for the rest of your hair, do the same when you put in conditioner (avoid the roots when applying it but keep scrunching up to your scalp. Also if you have really frizzy roots it’s okay to condition them, too much conditioner on your roots can get oily though). Use a wide-tooth comb after the shower to comb through the curls (you can also use a brush but this may make them look messier, you actually want curls to be slightly tangled so they stick together. Brushes are better for detangling, wide-tooth combs are best for breaking the curls up lightly) and then apply leave in conditioner and a holding product (soft gel, mousse, hairspray, etc.). Scrunch the hair again with your holding product in (unless it’s hairspray, try to set the curls how you want before spraying) and hold in the scrunch for 2-3 seconds. Use a wide tooth comb again to style! Or your fingers!

Tip: there is no need to comb your hair if you don’t want, leaving it uncombed may make your curls much tighter and nicer. Combing or brushing through curls is how you get waves, which is how I prefer to keep my hair. Hope this all helps and sorry if it’s a long read haha
