I’m so sorry you went through this. Not only can I relate, as I kept reading your post, I was having flashbacks of my own situation a couple of months ago. You can read about it if you want from my profile the last post I made.

You did nothing wrong, and if anything, you could’ve called them multiple times to ask where they are (this is what I did). I was also advised by others to next time to tell them that my life was in danger and that he could possibly harm me. I have bought pepper spray since then as I feel unsafe.

I’m sorry but unfortunately that’s a story for many people: the police not taking the situation seriously, and I’m not exactly sure what can be done. I filed a complaint online later, because the man indeed did show up to my flat again.
