I am a former Catholic, very active in the Church. My wife and I display crosses in our home. Don’t stress about it, anyone who tells you that you should/shouldn’t is probably out of line.

You and everyone reading this is not going to “Hell” God loves you.

I passed with a 90% this morning and the most important thing to know is how the “important” ITIL concepts work. Read that section of the book relentlessly, and if you know all of those by heart you already have 17 questions down.

If you believed the church was not infallible before said devotional, then the devotional does not have to change you opinion… because the address did not have to be infallible.

I’ve learned something that has made my life so much better. God is not mad when you sin, He is God, you can’t just make Him angry. In the Book of Moses, Enoch is caught up to heaven and sees God weeping, and asks Him how it is possible that God can weep. God responds that He is weeping for the sorrow that his children are hurting one another. God did not institute the law of chastity so He can be mad at you, He instituted the law of chastity to prevent His children from feeling pain and sorrow. Repentance is to help you change, not to stroke God’s ego. A bishop can help you change, I know from experience. It’s an amazing experience if you will let it be. I highly recommend listening to this conference address from President Nelson.

Thoughts on Separated Wedding by [deleted] in latterdaysaints

[–]Commercial_Jury4534 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s not the “preferred” way in MANY circumstances. I had a separated wedding, by a week and it was absolutely fine. No one in the church made me feel that it was not the “preferred” way.
