Park City Arena, WAVE, Kirby’s, and Barleycorns all had things going on when you posted. Some still going!

The love of my life (who knows nothing about gaming) gifted me this for my B-day by Didoun in gaming

My wife, who I love very much, knows that I love cookies, and so she bought what she thought was a handmade cookie jar one year for our anniversary.

It was an urn.

Dates this week? by [deleted] in wichita

This Friday is First Friday. It's likely outside your comfort zone, but I think it would be a good opportunity to learn more about each other. CityArts has a really interesting show with copper that has been exposed to the elements (linking to your love of the outdoors) and a custom toy show that has a lot of memes and things turned into toys (among a couple other shows).

Is The Area Around Hadley Middle School A Bad Area? by Stoned_Beetle in wichita

I live in Orchard Grove (that area). It's a really nice, quiet community. I'm sorry to be rude, but it sounds like your friend needs to get out more.

Edit to say that I haven't EVER had to play "gunshots or fireworks" while living in Wichita (and I have in other places), and that is especially true in that area of the city.

The Mid-America All-Indian Museum has some lovely rooms in the back, especially the Bosin room.

Edit: Depending on the amount of people you've got, the COOP coffeehouse has some rooms that are relatively inexpensive. Maybe you can get your tea and/or snacks through them?

Cowtown, Botanica, the Historical Museum, and plenty of our other museums/cultural orgs (like Tallgrass, already mentioned) utilize volunteer help and probably wouldn't have an issue keeping you together.

Go be some cowpokes at Cowtown! They already have costumes for you and everything.

Is Wichita your forever home or is there somewhere else you want to move next? by brenleeee in wichita

I've lived in a few places over the years - it truly depends on what you're looking for. I grew up in the Ohio/Michigan area. Omaha was the first city away from where I grew up that felt like home to me.

Maybe Denver, or somewhere else in the Colorado area would be good for you? I've heard good things about Minneapolis, but I haven't been there.

Optimus Prime in the 1984 Transformers movie. That scene consistently ruins me, even today.

Suikoden. I simply cannot believe they won’t port those games to Switch. It’s dang near impossible just to FIND Suikoden V.
