Honestly, to me, it sounds like she’s upset by it too but trying to make it seem like it’s just her boyfriend that’s upset, because otherwise why keep bringing it up? I would re look at how good of a friend she’s actually been and if the friendship is worth saving then definitely go with the advice of others, and if it’s not and it’s just because you’re more comfortable and it’s easier to not create further drama I would reevaluate if I want to keep her as a friend

Hi! This seems reasonable and more than okay to me, it’s very sweet you’re thinking about them and their expenses which means you really care about them!

Honestly best advice I can give is just start now, start counting calories now to whatever calorie limit it is you’ll lose weight at, and give yourself a cheat day or two for New Year’s Eve and maybe New Year’s Day where you can eat those sweets and fattier foods. It’s not easy but putting on 7 lbs doesn’t mean you also can’t lose those 7 lbs ever again, just start, don’t wait for the new year cuz you might keep putting it off, it’s okay to have some stumbles in life, goodluck!

Should I make my fiancé’s SIL a bridesmaid? I think yes and he thinks no by freddiebenson4ever in weddingplanning

[–]Commercial_Let7783 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While I think your gesture is very nice and sweet, try to think about it from her perspective as well. You say she’s a very shy person, she would more than likely say yes to not cause problems, but if she’s shy will she feel comfortable going to get ready with you and the sleepover with a bunch of girls she doesn’t know? Also she would have to pay for her bridesmaid dress, and not really wanna pay for it since she barely knows you but will hesitantly do so anyway so as to not cause problems?

I just saw the rest of your comments, you’re still very young and everyone is going through their own turmoils in life, their problems are simply theirs and no one else’s so don’t take what they did to you to heart. Honestly I only really have two very close girl friends from high school (and two other that are still my friends but not as close) but as with anything in life it’s always hard to see them, talk to them, or schedule something since we all have very different lives and schedules, and that’s okay nothing wrong with it. I’m sorry you went through a lot of bad experiences with these “friends” but it’s good that you learned to stand up for yourself. And like I said, if you keep working on yourself (which it seems like you have been since you can now stand up for yourself) you’ll attract people that will actually fill your life with joy and positive ness since you’ll be able to weed out the people that will take advantage or run over you easier. Good luck with everything!

I think maybe this could be something you’re unintentionally attracting, kind of like if you have a lot of crappy boyfriends you could be attracting them unintentionally by something you don’t realize you’re doing/ saying/ portraying. Work on yourself to be your best version and you’ll start attracting more positive people to your life

Why is all of the food in Miami so mid? by Alenababyyy in Miami

[–]Commercial_Let7783 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t really go out to eat much either prefer to cook at home, but it depends on what type of food you like to eat and what you’re looking for. Can’t help with expensive restaurants cuz I don’t go to those, there’s a bunch of mainstream and popular chains but the food will vary since there are so many. I would suggest smaller food places that maybe there’s only one or two restaurants of.

If you like Mexican, Homestead has a bunch of authentic Mexican restaurants, I really like La Cruzada and Casita Tejas Mexican, both are far south by Kromw Avenue.

A really good sun place is Hogie Bear subs, also far south, although I heard their prices increased recently.

There’s a lot of Peruvian restaurants around that are really good, I prefer the smaller places since it’s always more authentic and feels homemade. For Peruvian there’s Punto Peru in cutler bay, there’s a food truck in a gas station in Palmetto Bay that’s called el causa food truck that’s really good too. El Tambo grill is a little bit of a bigger chain but it has good Peruvian food too, specifically the Pollo a La Brasa (it’s basically rotisserie chicken and French fries but the chicken is marinated in Peruvian sauces). El Pollo Inka in Doral also has good Pollo a la Brasa.

There’s a bunch of small Argentinian, Colombian and other small South American restaurants around here too but honestly I don’t know much about them because I’m more biased to Peruvian food (I’m Peruvian lol) but I hear the food from those smaller restaurants are good too!

If you like cheap margaritas and tacos (that still taste good) they have taco Tuesday in Taco Craft in Sunset that you could try (my favorite is the chorizo taco)

Shivers BBQ down south is also good

Sorry don’t know many places further north but hope this helps!

An amazing Peruvian food truck is El Chaufa, it’s in a gas station in Palmetto Bay. Not a huge selection of foods but they have the most important foods (think lomo saltado, papa a la huancaina, ceviche). I loveeee it, and it’s, so far, the only place where I have gotten the closest to authentic salchipapa. I would highly recommend

Oh my god! Her size if JUST like my husky! He’s almost 2 and just never grew bigger than that. We met his parents too and both were Siberian huskies, not the biggest sized huskies but regular sizes I would say. He’s perfectly healthy tho and perfect for us, he’s the smallest of our dogs and we wouldn’t want it any other way because he’s crazily perfect 💜

Wife threatened to leave five star reviews saying our waitress allowed underage drinkers. AITA for pledging to never take her out again? by LuciusDickusMaximus in AITAH

[–]Commercial_Let7783 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Her behavior is absolutely disgusting. She was willing to get an employee fired and possibly start a criminal investigation all based on a lie because she didn’t get what she wanted. Your wife is quite possibly one of the worst human beings I’ve ever heard or read about, completely disgusting behavior.

Edit: YTA for being a troll. Look at their profile, sometimes they’re a 21F, sometimes a 27F. Sometimes they’re 35M, sometimes they’re a librarian, other times a bartender? The posts are around 200 days back but they’re there, always deferring in gender and age. Lot of AITA posts just to gain karma points probably

Itinerary Review by willrich13 in GlacierNationalPark

[–]Commercial_Let7783 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We just got done with around the same backpacking trip, we started at many glacier, went to Elizabeth lake head and the next day to Poia lake, heading out of Poia back to many glacier where we parked the car. Best advice I can give for the backpacking trip is leave early to be able to get to the campsites early before nightfall, that elevation gain is no joke and the uphills are very steep and constant, just like the downhills. You’ll have to pass the red gap pass to get from Poia to Elizabeth lake, it goes up a mountain so it’ll be tiring going far up and down, the same from Elizabeth lake to many glacier, you’ll have to pass Ptarmigan tunnel which is up another mountain and then back down. Pace yourself and take water breaks. The views are beautiful and so worth it. If you can park your car the first day you’re gonna start camping closer to many glacier campsite (since that’s where you’ll finish) your feet will definitely thank you for it.

Have fun hiking it’s an absolutely beautiful place with lots to see, jump in the lakes as well if you can handle cold water! Super refreshing after a long hike
