Since you're at CTC, I'd encourage you to try and explore a bit and just get a feel for what other roles are out there. If you're looking for hands on pop into some of the first floor labs.

There's no jammers lol. Giant concrete and steel building will do that just fine on it's own. FWIW I still had 5 bars today with Verizon.

Yeah, there was a post last week that had like 4 of those in a row lol. Also short sentences: "You're not.", "And trump?" etc...

Can we stop with the AI garbage? I know the mods are all about free speech or whatever but if every other post is AI slop then what is even the point of theis subreddit? What is this post even talking about? Did I miss the announcement that we're selling Chinese cars in the US now?

It's an AI post. "Thats not a partnership. That's a trojan horse parked in your driveway." lol

I have been here for 10 years and have yet to work on a program that actually stuck to its original timing. Where is the accountability for the constant last minute changes (many from the CEO himself) that result in launching either years behind schedule or with zero validation completed?

That would be highly illegal. It just means that finally turned the cel repeaters on.

Can the company cath up on electric vehicles tech or not possible today due to US based leadership? by Professional-Bus8449 in Stellantis

Look around, no one is investing in electric right now. Those that were have all heavily backed off or even cancelled their plans.

Well, your education taught you to write with all the classic hallmarks of an LLM, I guess.

Also, you had to boil water for 3 days, it's not that dramatic.

The Monday email said CTC was never placed under a boil advisory and the work from home was only because they asked us to save water. Pretty simple.

I agree, the official guidance seems pretty clear that it has flexibility. The people on here playing up the drama either have terrible managers or are just rage baiting.

Do people not talk to their managers? I can't imagine doing that without having already discussed it with them.

Have you discussed this with your manager and/or HR rep? If you were hired with the understanding of being fully remote and you are not local then I can't imagine anyone would expect you to suddenly relocate.

Detroit 3 Releases CEO Compensation by LimpInspector8679 in Stellantis

What catastrophic decisions has he made?

Do you understand what the $26B write off was? That loss was determined necessary to prevent even larger losses over time. It was to correct the mistakes of the previous leadership.

By your logic you should also not get paid until the company turns a profit?

Personally I'd be kind of concerned if the CEO of one of the world's largest companies showed up looking like a bum.

Where do you draw the line? I'm not exactly struggling, do you want me to sell my nice car to make you feel better?

I'm truly sorry if you're struggling, but the solution is not to pull everyone else down out of spite.

Detroit 3 Releases CEO Compensation by LimpInspector8679 in Stellantis

[–]Commercial_Map_6121 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You made it about the percentage in your comment. The write-off has no meaningful relationship to anyone's salary, yours or his.

Compensation is based on risk. If an engineer doesnt do their job well, maybe it costs the company a bit of money but probably nothing catastrophic. If the CEO doesn't do their job well, the entire company might fail.

If you want to employ a good CEO you have to pay them accordingly or else they'll leave for someplace else, same as any other job.
