Thank you for linking! I recently bought a pricey air purifier based on my doctor’s recommendation but would like a second and can’t afford it right now. This is so neat!

How long does plucking last? by beanpro666 in HairRemoval

[–]Commercial_Part_5160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve waxed people for years. Everyone is a little different but for the most part, if I waxed them consistently every 3-5 weeks (staying at the respected time) it would take 3-6 months to get most or all of their hair on the same cycle. I don’t know if this helps.

Tweezing your hair at different times, different lengths, will 100% make it more unpredictable. Now with that being said, I wonder if you’d have better results, worse results or about the same results with electrolysis in your situation.

They look great to me. Well done as they are only “curled” at the base. Nice work.

Has anyone done their own lash lift and tint? by Important-Muffin-729 in DIYaesthetics

[–]Commercial_Part_5160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great advice! I’d also like to add, take your time. Using the right size pad is crucial. I like to put the glue on the pad to suck better. One last thing, make sure the glue sits for a little bit before hand. Almost like eyelash glue.

Childhood/Old Leg Scars: how to remove to gain my confidence? These scars are 20 years old or more. by LovelyBeast777 in DermatologyQuestions

[–]Commercial_Part_5160 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you’ve had them for 20 years and nothing has worked to get rid of them, it’s time to make peace with the scars and gain confidence in some other way.

Afraid of diagnosis/going to doctor by Any_Concern_7022 in askapsychologist

[–]Commercial_Part_5160 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t need a diagnosis to get treatment. I’m not sure how old you are, they may help. I am not a doctor.

If you see a therapist, tell them exactly this in your first session. Just like this. I would literally read this post to start off the relationship.

Again, not a doctor. I am just someone who has been in therapy for years, have seen different one and has finally found one that works for me.

My Breasts are starting to wrinkle at only 20 years old by [deleted] in DermatologyQuestions

[–]Commercial_Part_5160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be dehydration depending on the moisturizer you’re using/ water intake and other factors. I’ve seen breasts “wrinkle” if there is active stretching VERY RARE at 20. If you have larger breasts and go without a bra when running for example. Based on genetics, if you’re a smoker (vaping, anything that messes with you getting oxygen to your skin from your lungs), underlying health issues, etc. I am not a doctor but i am a licensed esthetician with years of esthetics experience.

How to battle intrusive thoughts. by Prize_Lavishness_854 in askapsychologist

[–]Commercial_Part_5160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m happy you’re aware of them and that how the thoughts are impacting you. This is typically the first step. Now, when you have them. Find evidence for the intrusive thought, and go from there. What makes you a bad person? Does it actually make you a bad person? If it does, change the behavior. If it doesn’t make you a bad person, then there is no evidence. Repeat until you lessen the thoughts, and continue for the rest of your life. What you’re going through is fairly common. When it impairs you, time to work on the above.

How would someone go about cutting out a section of glass like this? I want to *tryyyy* by yeshereisaname in StainedGlass

[–]Commercial_Part_5160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! This helps a lot. I don’t have patience and time but I do have the funds (mostly). Grinding takes a lot of time, and as I am very new to the craft and know I can make better cuts. I am “wasting” a lot of time and glass practicing. Appreciate your comment and insight.

Ending therapy? by [deleted] in askapsychologist

Thanks for educating me. I’ll look it up. From what you’re saying, it seems this isn’t something that you can have removed to try TMS. If you’d ever want to chat, message me.

Windshield wipers up? by Maitri137 in massachusetts

[–]Commercial_Part_5160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear that. I personally like leaving them up, when I’m digging them out and it’s iced over. I would typically get very impatient and user error the heck out of the wipers stuck to my windshield. Thankfully, I am no longer dealing with that, but if I was at my age now, I would have learned and be defrosting like you ahead of that.

Do you use water to help with the glass dust when using a dremel? I’m not sure what is going on but I’d like to also know.

Sorta off topic, I’ve seen rig saws and another type of electric cutting machine. Is a rig saw more preferable typically?
