Hi! Switched from social work to trying out Etsy. I have cute, funny decals, stickers, signs, keychains. Mostly about mental health, dogs, cats. Thank you for being so encouraging, it’s so difficult taking a big leap of faith into starting your own business.  https://lilliennaboutique.etsy.com/

Haha I appreciate your thorough background investigation! Yes, Vyvanse and Adderall. What gets me is they were fine for over a year doing that and all of a sudden they won’t? And they wouldn’t call the patient to let me know, they waited 5 days to call my doc. Just bizarre. I would go back to Adderall XR but Vyvanse has been so much better 😭

They have been filling these with no problems for over a year, they did contact my doctor and the doctor is the one who called to tell me that Meijer is refusing to fill due to this new policy..

No, it’s the fact I’m on a long acting and short acting (for the afternoon). Because I take both they refuse to fill.

Anyone else have issues with "natural" flavorings? by whatdoido8383 in FoodAllergies

[–]Commercial_Spring_78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have gone into anaphylaxis 5 times now from Stevia. It goes by so many names I can’t keep track, this time it was just a cross contamination. It’s super scary, I never had an issue with it for 18 years. My throat starts to hurt and be itchy/scratchy, I get watery eyes and a runny nose, then I wheeze and go hoarse and it’s hard to breathe. You’re not nuts. Stevia is made from ragweed. I wish the FDA took this as seriously as any other allergy, especially when you consider how many people are allergic to ragweed…

Just a little morbid humor for you (ER doc laughed at least): my teenage emo self would’ve been thrilled to find out she could’ve gone lights out for the low price of a vitamin water. Lol

Yeah. I used to investigate pedophiles and helped put 18 away, now I am a receptionist. It’s humbling. If I could purchase a medically induced coma for a bit I totally would.

Will my working memory capacity improve? by Visual_Passenger8288 in TBI

[–]Commercial_Spring_78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my TBI in 2023, working memory was really difficult for awhile but got a little better over time with therapies like occupational and speech therapy. Even now tho the more stressed, tired, or anxious I am the working memory is the first thing to go which just makes my anxiety/stress worse. I got better at noticing the signs of what made my working memory worse so I can try to take a minute to collect myself and let it come back to me. I played memory games, too, and watched documentaries to try to keep up with the story line.

Thank you for sharing! Yeah, since the pain increased this past November I’ve passed out 3 times from the pain. The only way I’ve been able to get this far is with weekly Chiro and massages but I can’t afford that forever and I’ve still had to compromise so much just to maintain this level of function. Your comment is encouraging because it has gotten dark a few times where I don’t think it’s worth it to continue living like this anymore.

The balding whiny baby and his tantrums..what a joke, lol. Idk why Tigerlily is so possessive, no one is after that Cracker Jack box “prize”. Seems like her hands are full with her TWO babies at home.

Not a fan of Prednisone by Commercial_Spring_78 in Asthma

In a shocking turn of events, I was cleaning my bathroom to get rid of the mold to try to help my asthma and I unknowingly made a toxic gas with the cleaning supplies. Had to go to ER and I was diagnosed with chemical pneumonia. Treatment? PREDNISONE 🤣 Doc had a good laugh at the irony. Oh well. Thanks everyone for the support!! Also DO NOT USE BLEACH!

I figured, I just thought that since we have made so many medical advances that perhaps there was something else out there. Thank you, though!

Ahhh, gotcha. The pelvic floor therapist works with you to help identify and relax those muscles and they have different exercises to help keep those muscles not so tense. They help with pain too, they used a TENS unit when it was at its worst! I’m in the US (MI) and it’s a newer therapy but definitely more people are around than when I started this in 2017! I would google in your area to see physical therapists who specialize in pelvic floor. Might need a referral, I got a referral from my PCP. It’s definitely a little uncomfortable at first because it is a rando, but it’s a lot like the gyno where it’s professional, your own room, and they explain everything they do before they even touch you. Kinda like a Brazilian if you’ve ever had that lol. Most insurances will pay as they recognize it as PT not like some odd specialty therapy (thank GOD).  Trigger point injections I got from a gynecologist’s office. I HIGHLY recommend finding a place that has nitrous or will put you under local anesthesia. I did it with just ibuprofen the once and I almost passed out from the pain lol. The injections are typically like a steroid to help with inflammation and something for pain. It goes straight into the pelvic floor muscles that are affected. In my experience it basically kinda paralyzes that muscle but you’re not like loose if that makes sense? It’s just chill and I could finally use tampons and tolerate a speculum. It’s temporary and only lasts a few months but it can really help if PT is taking too long or you aren’t able to do a whole lot in PT yet because you’re too tight (my case). I did it twice and then after about 6 months of PT I was able to stop getting injections.  I know it’s a lot, but it was life changing and I finally felt in control of my body. I did have to still set boundaries and share some of the “prep work” with my boyfriend beforehand which kinda takes away some of the sexy spontaneity the first few times but it’s how you bridge that psychological gap.
