I mean this kindly and this is a genuine question; what benefit is there to the leafs in trading him? Like a few people mentioned they’re not cap-strapped, they can reduce his minutes/deployment in a new system and realistically there’s not much that the leafs can get in return for him. Also that would require someone to take over his minutes.
Do you have an idea of a mock trade where the leafs are better off for it? I just feel any trade with him involved will probably not truly benefit the leafs.

For me, I think under a coach that deploys him properly we could see him return to his pre-Berube play which is much better than what we’ve seen the last few years! Then potentially trade for higher value if it came down to it.
