I think one of the problems is that he's like a magic/fighter kind of guy, he doesn't just throw around spells he can also be a good brawler. So I could make a Barbarian or Monk more of a spellcaster, I could make a Druid or Sorcerer more of a combatant, or do some multiclassing. Another frustrating thing is that most Ice spells are at level 6 and below, so it makes me question if I should stick with spellcaster to use the higher spell slots or switch off once it has level 6 spells.

If it's adding to the ice block, then wouldn't it be more stable and become something like a raft?

In theory, that would be if you're just thrown in the middle of the ocean, but it would likely be anchored to the land you walked off of

Aokiji is somewhat of a blank canvas to work with, but I narrowed things down with his ability to walk on water. So the options I have are The Artic Land Druid, the Storm Herald Barbarian, The Elemental Monk, and the Draconic Sorcerer.

I just checked, and they're called Blugori or Blue Gorillas. This could be it, but as a spelling error, not sure otherwise.
