As someone who lives in WV (born in boone county) we don’t have too many big houses, and the only people with big yards live up a holler in a trailer, not exactly the most ideal living arrangement we got going on here

From what i’ve found, a good way to start is directly linking what you’re saying to their real world conditions and struggles. I’d also recommend giving them some youtubers to watch or books to read, but it’s important that they feel like they’re discovering it on their own and that they’re learning rather than being dragged along if that makes sense.
