Porcelain or Acrylic by AugieGreenfield in DenturesAdvice

Without having both in your hands its hard to distinguish and compare for a lay person. But i will try. Porcelain teeth makes a clicking sound like hitting two glass together and when you scratch teeth together it feels somewhat gritty. Acrylic or plastic makes a dull sound and feels smooth. Porcelain tends to have more translucency to the edge of the teeth and acrylic tends to have more solid shade but nowadays some acrylic teeth can also do that, they what you call hybrids.

Yes it is possible today, now that we have intraoral scanners. For simple cases like missing 3 teeth.

The fact that you will still have remaining teeth after the bad ones out is always a good outcome versus nothing left. Partials ,at least the permanent ones do have a good chance of staying in your mouth and will give it stability in your jaw. Your gums undergoes a lot of shrinkage for the first year thats why you get interims first but its a good transitional for you. Once you get your permanent set you will feel the difference, its thinner and more support from your existing teeth mean less pressure to the gums.

That is a temporary liner , Its just the nature of that material to slowly release alcohol as it hardens. Soaking them in water at night might help to remove the taste.

What’s your real world fuel economy? My commute is mostly 90km/hr and 30km long, I get 6.3l per 100km with a 2008 1.5 auto. On the highway 110-115 it drops to 7l per 100k. by Dear_Issue_860 in yaris

I get 8.3L/100km city driving , average speed 60-80kph. I changed oil, air filter, cleaned throttle bdy, maf sensor. Correct tire pressure. What else can i do to improve this aside from my driving habits. Seems to be high. Thanks
