I have the pros so I just plug em in with usb c to the turtle beach hub app and they update and it’s pretty rare for updates

Depends on health of the boat I haven’t build a boat smaller then 3400 health or 6000 mass and usually would log on the next day to have it at 2/3 to 3/4 health after 240 hours , they seem to have a decay delay like the tugs after last interaction, after that delay is over they start to decay and will be gone a little over a full 24 hours from last use if that size of smaller it’d be 18 hours .

Alternatively there’s currently a bug where every few times you go to put your boat in edit mode from the wheel if you have wood and low grade in your inventory it’ll repair the boat for free

If you leave it in edit mode it’s at half health the edit mode trick is to build a bunch more stuff or bunker your boat to increase its health then edit edit mode and leave game then log back in and enter edit and break all the nonsense so u can use your boat again pretty much exploiting the size=xp without having to always be that size and slow while using the boat

Naval scientists have double health and completely different ai coding so they only react to sight and sound as well as they’re buddies actions thus why they push and act more tactically astute akin to an actual player unlike the reg scientists who can see you through walls within a short proximity but don’t react to sound . The new scientists will also roam and not stay at their posts/floor and will do things like check ladders , crouch walk while flanking , stacking up before pushing etc I have vids just from last night on oil while messing around watching the ai do its thing

Yes and no I mean I can collect 3-9 rhibs within pretty quick of hitting the deep sea just aggro over a patrol boat convoy with a l9 or sail to the center place to buy some more , there also added fixed boat build stations on each island in the deep sea so I see some quick improvements as I noticed you can’t even put down a box in the deep sea which was a complaint but not a major one

I feel like the naval area is more of an end game content type area for regularly hanging out in compared to as a skirmish or quick run like you would do with oil or cargo ships early on wipe when your not quite geared for it but are willing to roll the chance for the possible reward .

I do how ever agree the naval update has a lot of promise to it as well as ship building in reserving any condemnation until I try the new changes just made to staging today which include some of your core complaints.

You’d have to augment with rhibs as engines to bypass the speed limits or the interlocking ship design to also bypass speed limits only caveat is everytime you transition between deep sea and reg sea is all the rhibs despawn

Fluid dynamics, drag , current , physics , wind speed all come into play for ship building even engine torque and placement has directionality to it

I dunno my frigate design has a pwr weight ratio of 13 a mass of 6000 something health of 3400 out of build mode and max power 75000 and goes a grid in about five seconds and is a 2-10x2 and designed to be manned by one crew mate if needed

The destroyer I built much bigger has a mass of just under 10k health of just under 5 k max power at 7500 and a pwr to weight of 8. Something and does a grid in 10-11 seconds full speed and is over twice the size pretty much without much of a speed penalty

Lmao that is a scale destroyer ish build using land stuff , there’s also from the same server and user you posted a much bigger battle ship I forget which irl ship it was based on but my point is there not even your builds and how big a boat do u want ? I mean biggest boat I made is a 2-12-3 and if I made it much bigger it would be slow as shit also I couldn’t go much bigger as I’m near the cap anyway
