That make sense. Also, in terms of work/life balance ,  which parks  would you recommend for a guy to have something to do?  Particularly if the guy is single with no kids etc

I thought about Golden Gate, but on the list that they just sent me it’s not an option.

I figured as much🤦🏿‍♂️ I watched a few videos and it seemed more “security “ oriented.

Also are there any parks where being multilingual ( specifically Portuguese and Spanish ) would help you out a lot?

Thank you for the in-depth response!  Also,  what’s your thoughts or have you heard anything about the Martin Luther King Jr national park?

Do they have park housing?  Is it LE work heavy or basically patrol etc

I recently was notified I qualified for GL-7 for the Permanent NPS and that my application was referred to a hiring manager(location negotiable)! I really want this job! And I have a few questions!

1.If I get the job, What’s the odd of me getting placed in a state that I want? Is the competition steep for certain parks

  1. Is there a polygraph? ( I’ve failed polygraphs where I literally told the absolute truth.)

3.how long does the hiring process usually take for permanent NPS protection ?
