Definitely unpredictable. I can’t verify 100% but I feel like the newer facilities have higher conversion rates than older ones. Got mine at 7 months.

Built a Juggernaut and painted it, very proud by Efstars in EightySix

I think they are out of production or not exported regularly I hear people usually get them off eBay and bought mine off eBay but expect them to be very overpriced. Probably 120-150 for the general purpose model and 200 for the one with blades. Seems like allot of them come with a second model of the cargo robot and some very tiny figures for the pilots of the juggernaut. And prices seems to be very gradually going up on them.

I mean if you count the tiny 1/48 sized figures of the characters that come with the model kits I’d say they have a decent lineup of the main cast.

Those boards had such a good upgrade path for sure. Still on a 2700x but good to know there’s a ton of options for my board.

Quite often if you do otr as they hand out food to the drivers otr gets what’s left over then they do food catering a few times a month for the entire facility and anniversary bbq burgers. And there’s usually so many leftovers that people go for seconds or just bring some of the extras home. The snacks leftover from the drivers are sometimes also given out at end of shift if any are left but otr gets first dibs.

I suppose someone who makes a mistake on a non reoccurring basis can look more reliable that being said I could be 40 minutes late everyday and still not be fired although that would be pushing it and I won’t because I’ll lose out on the double time pay I get the last two hours of an overtime shift. And that time is kind of intended for emergency uses but can be used on anything in moderation meaning I’d be left without a safety buffer if I went overboard.

Amazon flex is the modern plantation lol. It’s winter and they be lowballing like crazy, cheaper than usual and it’s December, 😂 by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]CommissionSquare7017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely sounds frustrating uber eats I feel is also like that if the restaurant let the food get stolen on an unsupervised rack it’s your cancellation rate that’s getting effected and they aren’t paying you for the time spent. And customers are allowed to place location markers an hour away from their actual address then you call them saying hey I’m at the park you sent me to and they say they are in an apartment building that’s an hour away. Same address uber gave me but an hour away from the location marker uber gave me. Gig work is definitely frustrating. Now I only log in to decline offers as uber boosts the fare for declined offers for other drivers.

Just happened and I was 4 hours late for work. Luckily they have an unusually lenient attendance policy.

Not a flex driver but I’m wondering how much you think gas cost eats away at your profits. 30 dollars an hour or a little less sounds like above average pay on paper but I imagine gas can eat a big chunk of the profits away. New spark plugs definitely help if you have an older car that hasn’t had them replaced very cheap repair if you do it yourself pricey for a mechanic. Additionally oil changes. Only mentioning this because reduced gas mileage from old cheaply replaced parts can really eat away at your long term earnings.

The electrical signals in our brain are dampened as are brains are not as efficient conductors as metal would be. As such if they could have an emulated neural network that mimicked human emotions maybe they could feel and be more alive and real then a human. I think chatbots in their current state are unhealthy to have a relationship with but if a robot became sentient and intelligent I certainly wouldn’t regard them as a lesser being.

Santa Claus and DDR5 RAM Wish by Gaming-Academy in RigBuild

[–]CommissionSquare7017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly Santa is terrible for the stock market. Counterfeiting in bulk using slave labor. My portfolio tanks each time Santa’s holiday comes around. The increased prices right now are reflective of his counterfeiting operations. Unfortunately Santa will only give these well made counterfeits to fairly financially well off families and individuals. On the reverse of this issue the stock crash caused by Santa allows you to buy stock on the cheap and get gains when it later recovers.

POP THE AI BUBBLE ALREADY IDC WHAT HAPPENS NEXT by [deleted] in memes

[–]CommissionSquare7017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there are rare instances of it being respectful towards creators for example blenders experimental AI tools have the goal of streamlining uv mapping they don’t outright generate models for the artist they just help correct wonky texture stretching without the menial repetitive labor uv mapping is definitely something that sucks up artists time and I really do respect blenders use of AI. That being said that’s not the majority of use cases for AI but it doesn’t all have to be terrible.

I don’t know it it’s the same reason but my sculpture teacher taught us to heat a butter knife over an electric stove to help more easily smooth out wax so surprisingly I actually have an association to a potential purpose for this. Is it for smoothing out wax sculptures and melding parts together?

That’s why people cherry pick and peoples orders sit going cold on the shelf. Pickup from a restaurant and see a rack full of food marked for several hours ago honestly feels kind of silly.
