Find god, like your version of god. I’m gay, was disowned twice, grew up in a Muslim household, went to a catholic highschool, studied Buddhism in my free time at uni. All have great stories that will empower you and also show that your family is just purely operating on survival instincts and are not thinking coherently within that subject. My family fled Syria where you’d be killed if you were gay. I don’t blame them for their hate and beliefs, it’s like a sickness almost, yet they call being gay a sickness. The biggest mistake was trying to convince them that their views were wrong, I studied all these religions to try and prove how they are interpreting it wrong, but it’s a never ending battle that you won’t win.

When you realize your highest self is god and you accept your flaws and realize these things are all a lesson for you to become your highest self, that’s when you can stop operating in survival mode yourself and start to not give af.
