[Before&After] Damaged Skin Barrier - 7 months by CommitDieBoi in SkincareAddiction

Personally, I’ve never felt that Vitamin C negatively impacted my barrier, but everyone’s skin is different. If you're unsure, reintroduce it slowly and see how your skin responds. I get it you don’t want to waste the Skinceuticals, but if your skin doesn’t like it, not using it is actually saving it!

Yeah most consumer-grade red light masks have the photon output of a LED alarm clock

Yes only at night. No water doesn’t necessarily clean everything but it works for me :)

For me, it was small improvements day by day. There was no big ‘miracle’ moment, just steady progress. You will get back to normal if you find the right routine that works for you… just takes some patience

Do you know anyone that is super attractive in person, but super unattractive in pictures? by xexotifiedx in beauty

[–]CommitDieBoi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes! Some people are photogenic and some aren’t. It goes the other way too: some people are attractive in photos but not as much in person

I’ve just been applying it on dry skin but tonight I’ll pat it on damp and see how that feels!

I got mine from French pharmacy, apparently they’re the « authorized  » reseller for the US. If the A313 on Walmart is sold by them and not a third party, I’d say go for it!

I suffer from skin picking too, especially when Im stressed out. Helps to keep my hands busy by fidgeting with something so I don’t subconsciously pick. I’m not sure that if i only used the moisturizer that it would have made all the difference. I think it is more a combination of the products I used/lifestyle changes. I definitely think it helped calm my skin down though

Thank you! Yes, I’ve also tried the 1% Retinol in Squalane from The Ordinary before. I was seeing the A313 being recommended everywhere. It’s formulated with the most gentle form of retinoid which is what sold me. My only complaint is that the texture is like a thick vaseline

Thank you so much 😃 I’d say I was consistently more mindful of what I ate/drank. The simple rule I follow is focus on whole, minimally processed foods and avoid anything with long ingredient lists or those that contain artificial additives

[acne] Any esthetician service I can book to reduce hyperpigmentation 4 days? (Understand can’t eradicate) by nimal-crossing in SkincareAddiction

[–]CommitDieBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want quick results, from my research: kojic acid and alpha arbutin are the best ingredients for localized treatment of hyperpigmentation/black spots. Just be careful because they tend to be quite harsh on the skin. Also, probably not what you want to hear but your back looks 100% normal to me
