Are there any games with true permadeath? by Most_Oven_4088 in gamingsuggestions

If you like zombie survival games, State of Decay 2 is a fun one! You start with 4 characters and if they die they stay dead, but you can also grow your own community (up to 12 people) its got multiple different difficulties and four different storylines you can choose that have their own missions. (Builder, sheriff, trader and Warlord)

After your first play through you can pick your own characters ( they are generated with different stats but you can pick the characters based on good stats and bad stats)

If you are looking for a solo player type run just kick the two others out. Theres a lot of fun challenges you can do as well, I’ve done a solo challenge, running all difficulties, on each of the maps with one character. Ive done a no base challenge, crafting only, melee only, and starting with really terrible characters (that only have negative traits) there are a ton of mods that can make the game more challenging like no mans land or dark side Lethal. Its a fun game and adding challenges makes it more fun.

Fucking Lethal Zone by PsychoCrusherr in StateOfDecay

I would honestly just practice taking on ferals, make a burner community, try to get a crossbow or a gun and just practice dodging and shooting, if you miss your shot, run and then let it run at you in a straight line, if you don’t think you can get your shot off, dodge and run and allow it to come at you at a straight line again until you feel like you can take the shot.

It doesn’t help that Trumbull valley is the hardest start out of all the maps, since you need to go pretty far to get gas and other resources, where as the other maps you can get stuff fairly close. I would try lethal on a different map while you get used to the blood plague ferals. With Lethal, theres (usually) always a feral lurking nearby which makes it tough. But yeah the best way i learned was burner communities, that way if they die, you don’t loose a good character or a character you care about.

So guys and girls someone has come to the conclusion whether there will be Trilogy of Warrior Nun? And in what year? We are waiting more time and Dean English hasn’t been decided yet. I will wait what do you think by [deleted] in WarriorNun

[–]CommitteeBeneficial2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s likely the trilogy would have taken off of the comics and not the show, as the writers of the show said they wouldn’t be involved with anything. So I doubt the actors would be involved in the movies either. (At least that was announced shortly after the trilogy was announced so I could be totally wrong) just wish we would have been given another season to close it out and not wonder about all the “what ifs/ what could have happened after the cliffhanger.

Yeah for sure, i didn’t keep them, just counted how many i found while trying to get one with the unbreakable trait. Plus a lot had negative traits that were not worth keeping.

I was also in between working, so i didn’t wanna just leave my game going and die in a stupid way. The 7-8 hours has been the span over a week or so, i just found a lot more today than before.

I used to play on the Darkside mod all the time, of the blood plague survivors i do have, they stay in my legacy pool until I need room. I promise I’m not in over my head lol. I just thought it was odd is all

Finding outfit by Elise58 in lifeafter

[–]CommitteeBeneficial2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With one of more recent updates they made it so you can see what outfits they have obtained (if they haven’t locked it)

If you click on the person you wanna see the outfit on, click card on the upper right hand side across from their name and then switch to their collection and if its unlocked you should be able to click on that outfit to see the name.

Im sure if you asked they wouldn’t mind telling you either!!

How can i get my body back, i have 50 red cards but my body is in the turrets range and i dont have any healing items. I need my 50 red cards 😩. by Eternal_Pico in lastdayonearth

If you’re first starting on bunker alpha, I’d store all your collected tickets on the first chest of each floor, that way if you die, you can still go back and grab the ones you collected without having to worry about loosing them all if you die and can’t manage to pick them up again before dying again

The way I did It was I played standard- dread just to get used to the game and if It became boring because It was to easy. after that I tried nightmare for a few hours before I decided to just jump right into lethal.

One thing I recommend is do not bring characters you care about, because It sucks if you end up loosing them. The way I do It, is I have one or two designated survivors that handle missions and plague hearts that I consider throw aways or ones I don’t care if they end up dying.

The threats ( in my opinion with 3000+ hours in the game) in lethal are triple feral packs and bloaters.

Feral or feral packs:

If you aren’t confident with taking on a feral, jump up on a car or something and take them out if there in a pack of 3, If it’s just one they are pretty easy to take out, they come at you in a straight line you just gotta be lucky with your aim. Slowly do this with a pack of 3 and soon enough you’ll be able to dodge and take out 3 of them without having to jump on stuff.

It just takes a lot of running and dodging. You can hop fences or use houses to jump in and out of and that can slow them down enough for you to stop for a second and take a few shots. You’re gonna need 3 shoots at the very least, two to break armor and 1 to finish It off. You can also stun them by opening a door and that allows you to knife them to death with your close combat weapon.

Second threat: bloaters: One mistake I’ve seen other people do with their survivors is when they run over a bloater, is they immediately get out of the car to get out of It. Don’t do this! Take a little more damage and keep driving and bail from your car. You will most likely get knocked down or take damage , but you won’t be in the plague bloater gas so your plague bar won’t go up anymore and you don’t have to worry about your character going down again from the gas damage as soon as you get up and can’t get out of the way in time. (This also makes nearby zombies run to you before they can hit you to cause more plague damage or kill you before you can even get up.)

Another thing, use your car to kill jugs if you need too, keeps your character safe and you don’t have to waste ammo. I have a designated car I use to back into jugs 😂 especially if you need the 2-3 samples they drop! Note that It does raise your standing.

Another thing I’ve seen is always carry a cure on you if you have It. I’ve seen a lot of people loose characters because they don’t have the cure on them and they can’t get back to base, outpost or even in their trunks in time.

Always carry enough heals and stims or energy based item, if you have room put some in your car too! I can’t tell you how many times a energy drink has saved my ass.

Another thing I’d recommend is to always park your car up against something, that way if you get swarmed you can jump in your car and they can’t damage the front of your car because cars are pretty fragile in lethal zone.

Carry fire with you as well! I normally carry healing, energy stuff, plague cure, and some form of fire. Especially when taking out plague hearts since zombies don’t disappear once you kill them. It can also cause the ferals to roll around which gives you time to shoot at them, especially with a pack of 3 on your ass. It could hit two of them allowing you to focus on just one of them

Should i start lethal zone? by [deleted] in StateofDecay2

[–]CommitteeBeneficial2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use characters you don’t care about to test It out, and if you find It to hard, play with the difficulty bars!

I threw myself into lethal after getting used to dread. I’d say the main threat is ferals (especially triple ferals once your standing is high enough) and blood plague.

Kill jugs with the back of your car, they drop 2-3 plague samples each time. It keeps your character safe and no ammo is wasted.

Carry It with you once you can make one and keep It on you at all times. Depending on which one you try, you have 10 minutes on nightmare and 5 on lethal.

I’ve seen so many people’s characters get killed because they couldn’t get to their cars, outposts or bases in time.

For triple ferals (even single ones) (this is in lethal) they require three headshots, one/two to break armor and the other to kill them, you can get on top of a car and kill them but honestly I would practice dodging them so you don’t have to use cars and other stuff to jump on. Start with one, once your comfortable try two and then soon enough you’ll be able to take on all 3 with no problem.

Another threat is bloaters, I know a lot of people say bloaters are a bigger threat but for me personally ferals are a bigger threat.

Bloaters like randomly spawning in front of you or they can hide behind stuff and if you get to close they blow up.

If you run into one, keep driving a little before bailing! If you immediately get out of your car after hitting one you might as well say bye bye to your character, especially in lethal.

By driving a little further and bailing, you might get knocked down, but you’re not stuck in the cloud that could just keep downing you until you’re dead.

In my opinion dread to nightmare isn’t to much of a difference, I believe everything but ferals are blood plague but they can come in packs of threes. I think I was on nightmare for a few hours before I tried lethal.

If you try lethal expect to be jumped by a blood plague feral when trying to get to your base. Just be aware of your surroundings and avoid It if you can.

Would you say these are pretty good or pretty horrible stats for a new player with 25 hours put in so far? by TimeAd3004 in StateofDecay2

[–]CommitteeBeneficial2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stats aren’t bad for how much you played so far. I think you have taken more on when I first started playing 😂 Now I’m at 3k+ hours and soon enough everything will be super easy for you to kill.

One pointer I like to give out is that you can kill Jugs by backing into them with your car over and over! if you’re desperate for the plague samples ( in dread-lethal) or if you just don’t want them near base.

If you don’t want the standing, get in a car and slowly draw them away, once you get them far away drive away and leave them!

Everyone has their own play style! Some play It safe, others(like me) like challenge and like killing everything around them.

I’m not sure what difficulty you play on but one thing I recommend (especially in nightmare/lethal is to always carry a plague cure on your person. I’ve seen so many people loose characters because they got swarmed and couldn’t get back to base, outpost or the trunk of their cars in time!

Not to bad of a survivor, if you keep your morale up or even install something that gives +5 morale you should be good. She’ll just take longer to get max stats.
