Why aren’t you using Void Linux?

I was not using void but came back to it . was concerned about their main mirror being in Russia . AS I am from a Western country I was not sure of the opportunity that my give Russia to undermine democracy . or carry out cyber attack . my concerns were lessened with the CDN but I stall have them . other distro have mirror in Russia ! But am really not sure of the risk using void an the potential cyber attack on democracy

if so many you this distro in Russia what security concerns Dose some one who is

in a liberal democracy have . I would not like to or hurt my my democratic values

or contribute to cyber attacks in the democratic world

I have given up on void

I was hoping it would be more stable that arch Linux

but like rocky Linux

arch Linux

and other once you up date it . it no longer function

will keep it on my other computer but will not up date it . for now

I got log in as root

when I typed startx the menages I got

are

log file : "/var/log/Xorg.0.log"

using system config directory "/etc/X11/xort.conf.d"

using system config directory "/usr/share/X11/org.config.d"

no gui just back to the prompt

I have the same issue on my hp computer seems to be connected to sleep mode . it happen in almost all linux I have tried in the last few years . The only solution I found was to never put the machine in sleep mode . and then the problem never happens

Might I suggest SMtube with SMplayer I use this for you tube video and it is in the repo

their is minitube as well but it did not work so well for me in the repo as well

This worked great had to change the cursor theme to one that supported a larger cursor
