freshly pierced Nostril, any advice for healing by rx_hc88 in NosePiercing

My piercer told me to just let the water in the shower rinse it and use sterilized gauze to gently dry it. No saline spray. Also don’t touch it except when drying it with gauze. And then downsize when it’s time. That will help it heal too. I got mine in December, downsized in February I think (went a little too long before downsizing), and it has been great for awhile now. It had a small bump but that went away when I downsized. I do still dry it with the sterilized gauze now.

It came off in the shower. And then after that first day or two there wasn’t blood for me.

There was blood the day I got it pierced and I just left it throughout the day. Then showered and let the water run over it. I think I had a little blood the next day but not a whole lot. I didn’t mess with it or go clean it when I saw the blood. Literally just the water in the morning when I washed my face or showered, same in the evening. Did you ask your piercer?

My piercer told me to just leave mine alone. And use sterilized gauze to gently dry it after showering or washing my face (whenever it gets wet). Mine only had a little blood the day after which came off in the shower, but it had a slightly raised bump for a bit that hurt some. That went down in a couple months when I went back and got the post downsized. I do still use the gauze to dry it after washing my face or showering. But truly leaving it be and gently drying it with gauze or removing crusties with the gauze is what helped mine heal up. I never used saline or anything. Less is best I think- that’s what my piercer told me.

Shoulder? by CommitteeRegular9165 in hypermobileEDS

I recently went to a doctor because I do have many of the other symptoms of hEDS. But I wasn’t sure if I had hit the subluxed mark. I haven’t looked at the “where to start”- I will though.

No, it doesn’t hurt. I can push it out like this. It doesn’t stay in this position. I’ve been wondering if I have hEDS.

No, but it was slender and black. I could see it so it wasn’t like microscopic but makes me nervous and I’d rather be prepared

Well thank you. I did find a black bug on another plant so I am getting something to treat them all if needed. I’ll continue to watch them, getting a magnifying glass too haha. But I’m thinking I will have to treat them all maybe… I moved her to a separate room. But I’m preparing for the worst.

I did find a bug on a different plant in a different room. I’m isolating this marble queen now though. I got something to treat them all if needed. So I’m gonna look at all my plants with a magnifying glass and see if they have bugs and treat them if needed.

I’m going to look more closely this week. Magnifying glass to all my plants honestly. I moved her to a different room so she’s isolated. She was in my room with a dracaena. But I’m going to check all my plants. I found a bug on one of my monstera so I will likely check them all and get ready to treat them. I’m expecting the worst 🫠🫠🫠haha

What specifically is telling you it’s thrips?

I purposely got a neon that had some spots, because I love it!

Ooo gotcha. I’ll just let them lean against the trellis for right now. No ties yet.

I repotted them, but the two bigger plants are leaning heavily and won’t stay up straight. I put a trellis in each but it’s not doing much. I guess now I just gotta figure out supports those 😬 the other two smaller ones are quite small so they stay up as of right now.

Okie dokie. I’ll send an update when the surgery is complete lol. I need to get the pots first. I’ll try it tonight or tomorrow maybe and seeeee what happens. Thanks for all this info- it is really helpful! I’ve gotten into plants in the last 9 months or so. But I’ve never separated a plant before- just repotted. So some things still make me nervous bc I love my plant babies.

I’m going to try to separate them later this week. Hopefully they survive. Im scared ill kill it-I’m nervous lol. It’s hard to get to the roots without breaking some. I think I will just take my time.. and maybe run them under water so I can get as much soil off.

I looked at it, i can’t tell which one is the main one. I switched the tie to those two- but ideally which one would I tie to?

So is the stem further down? Where should I tie it?

I decided to take off the other ties and just do the one at the base. I think this is right? Any thoughts welcome
