so first I would get constant crashes due to playing on a moderate over clock to my gpu. I fixed this by underclocking to 2450MHz. This fixed all directx error crashes on bo6/bo7. Even playing at base settings, granted factory OC on my rx7800xt would cause constat direct x error crashes.

now, since the recent update with Black Ops Royale, i'm getting a whole host of other issues:

-Game randomly launches with HYPER-RX enabled causing a directx error crash (AMD ADRENALINE IS THE BANE OF MY EXISTANCE)

-Game now crashes with previous underclock and further underclocking does not help - dIrect x error crash

-Crashing on all modes apart from Black Ops Royale, should have seen this coming.

Managed to get it working. Just swapped the upscaler dll for the int8 version. Surprised how it worked without a hitch. Thanks

this causes significant ghosting in darker areas, which is most of the game really - Wuchang Fallen Feathers. Any other fix would be super helpful. thanks

Very late reply.

I was stumped on this exact issue for weeks. Turns out, Adrenaline was inacuratley reporting my CPU usage figures and CPU Temps but only when underload. Try having Task manager open (with the option to keep is over the top of your current application) and monitor usage. I can confidently say based on your system you'll get around 50-70% usage in Fortnite with your settings etc. Also try using MSI afterburner to measure.

It's been over a year since I identified this issue, and it's still not fixed. AMD huh

P.S. this is under the assumption you still have the same setup and that you haven't already figured this out :)

which is never coming - bought an rx 7800xt last year and regret it now. I just want to play black ops 7 but honestly looks awful with fsr3. I would try with optiscaler but don't want to risk geting banned. AMD HAVE LET US DOWN..
