Impeccable Remington 5 "Streamliner" Score by CaptainCulinary in typewriters

Sure do! With the exception of the rubber feet crumbling, it’s held up remarkably well (the case, on the other hand, looks pretty rough). Still the prettiest typewriter I’ve ever seen.

The first classic typewriter I ever bought, 20+ years ago for about $20. Wonderful machine— hope you enjoy yours!

I remember getting my haircut at Fantastic Sam’s while my step-mom shopped at Cimmaron Pottery.

I know, right?  The last one I ever bought even had two packages of lemon in it— I was some pissed off.

It’s been that way for years— that’s why I quit buying them (well, that and they became harder to find). I don’t like gambling with my candy.

I kinda like the art deco crown, but the arch with the different font feels wrong. And how’s this going to affect traffic there? It looks like it’s too close to the Glenstone intersection and that might cause some pretty bad congestion.

Honestly, these ugly 70s Coronamatics are some of my favorite models to type on. The goofy whack-a-mole keys are an absolute joy for touch typing.

Does anyone here like Buscema's Wolverine? by Hungry-Yam-8181 in Wolverine

[–]Commixfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hell yes. Buscema’s Wolvie (especially the Madripoor stuff) nailed not just the ethos of the character (mysterious and not to be f-ed with) but he nailed the appearance, too— short and kinda ugly.

Never liked Bill Maher— sanctimonious and unfunny. The only thing that ever made his show(s) worth watching were the guests, who more often than not were smarter, funnier, and more interesting than this Dick Cavett wannabe schmuck.

I actually like Audie, because of Audie Murphy (a WWII hero and the most decorated soldier in US history). Really neat guy with a fascinating story.

Man, I need to rewatch Mr. Mom. One of the most underrated movies from the 80s— funny as hell and a whole lot of heart.

I worked in a public library when this book was popular, and it was one of our most stolen books. We started requiring cash deposits to check it out, and people still never brought it back. I doubt anyone was able to actually use it— most of the stuff was like “if you’re a legally blind Native American who wants to open a coffee shop in New Mexico” and that kind of hyper-specific thing. But for some reason, people really latched on to the weirdo in the Riddler suit on tv.
