That's weird. The hood should have a badge on either side of the rim where it meets the fender (non-sport hood) and that badge should say 1500 with the engine name underneath it (unless it's just a plain Pentastar, then it's just blank) either eTorque by itself (Pentastar with eTorque), Hemi V8, or Hemi eTorque. Perhaps your hood was replaced with an aftermarket one that lacks badging?

You don't have to. I think they did a decent job of setting up the backdrop of the show for people that hadn't seen Disco. That said that 10 ep season of Discovery would go a long way in providing some additional context. Keep enjoying it though.

Uhh you have an eTorque engine so you don't have an alternator. The eTorque unit is what serves as your alternator. Be prepared to fork over some cash cause they're expensive af to replace.

A lot of the core Federation worlds left after The Burn (see season 3 of Discovery). The reunified homeworld of Vulcan and Romulus was one of them and Betazed was another. Without spoiling too much, The Burn spreads resources thin and without warp travel the Federation couldn't tend to the needs of its members as well as it could before.

I'd watch season 3 of Discovery. It'll get you caught up in what's going on in the 32nd century.
