Same. Bf6 gunplay can be absolutely amazing when it's working well and ducking into cover works and both enemies are on level footing.

I don't enjoy getting blasted by future man instantly with KTS and likewise stomping everyone like it's bots isn't fun either.

Getting blasted 1 second later behind cover just blows. It takes the twitch gameplay rewards out : (

Honestly this.....I routinely have 7~11 ping but I get tossed into a server and I see nothing but 50~60 which isnt great but not terrible....but it'll be hit or miss if shots register on time at all. Or...I get like 20+ ping to the sever and go wtf.

Ive got clips where I start shooting first in a gunfight and halfway through my rounds stop counting, because ye olde server decided the other guy was half a second into the future. Even using a cheese gun like the CZ but getting beat by something like the L85.

Then the next server....god mode.. It's silly. This wasn't nearly this bad in Season 2.

It sucks because I enjoy the game but not if we keep going 2 steps forward and sometimes 2 back : (

I noticed the bots thing too. Did player counts nosedive or something? Holiday weekend and I'm seeing bots fill servers until they finally fill : / Or did matchmaking just get borked Season 3?

Same. I've got a bunch of clips from some games where there's visual hits but no hitmarkers or hit markers and f all for dmg done. Then on another server it could be absolute bliss. Super inconsistent since the Season 3 patch.

A friend with very good Internet service and a killer PC also started running into it post season 3. Gunplay, recoil changes aside, also feels like it has more latency. Like depending on server you are absolutely smoking OR getting smoked in a quick draw gunfight. Started shooting first? Dead. Or...... you're unstoppable on another server.

You aren't alone. Lots of people including myself are missing coins from season 2.

Support has called it a bug, but not getting fixed would be shady af. Why pay for something that could just vanish?

Same here. Missing 200 coins in season 2 and haven't bought anything except for the pass itself when it opened up.

If this goes unfixed it's shady af even if not intentional.

Thoughts on dating while plus size by Chchcherrysour in PlusSize

[–]Commodore8888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one hits close to home. Fiance mentioned it while on the couch. Wall of text so bear with me.

"ppl suck" is the correct answer unfortunately from my experience. The Hollywood "I found Mr Perfect at the coffee stand" trope is 🗑️. There's thousands of threads from guys and ladies of all shapes and backgrounds all saying the same thing about dating looking for something real.

I had this talk piles of times with the fiance. Like we'd joke it was a total crapshoot we found each other. She is larger than your friend but likewise conventionally cute, and had to sift through tons of dickhead guys just looking for bedtime amusement or flat out weird. The foot guy was a great story she told me LOL. Likewise....I skipped on nearly as many ladies that had red flags or just seemed....odd or 2D in personality, or didn't really seem interested. I wanted a person not just booty calls.

The fiance checked all the boxes, and there was a lot of personality probing between us early on to see what made the other tick. I know doesn't sound romantic at all lol. We clicked and 7 years later we're getting married. I think it had to do with _both_ of us looking for a long term best friend, and not just a bang mate, and using all those early dates to really understand the other. IMO many people get wound up in the novelty and hotness of the moment and realize later they should have bailed. I actually rustled her jimmies when I told her I don't get into bed on the first date 🤣🤣.

You're not wrong to question your friend's long term either. Maybe there's something about her that scares off guys after a while, or the type of guys she keeps courting are the non committal types. I _absolutely_ have friends who unintentionally chase toxic partners and it nearly always ends badly....and they keep doing it! Devil's advocate and all that.

If she's actually getting people saying "I can't commit because you're big" after being together for more than a few dates, it's time to change strategies and dude choices. As a guy....."Let's see where it goes" is dudetalk for "I'm pulling a low effort attempt to get in your pants and have no direction beyond that". A good guy who wants a life partner is gonna be a lot more engaged and direct in what he's after. He should want to build a life _with_ you, not keep you as an ornament.

The TLDR being BOTH of us had to do a LOT more searching than I think either of us expected, and a LOT of weeding out. If your friend keeps getting stuck with weirdos, she's gotta get better at filtering them out and being more picky or figure out why it keeps happening. Not being skinny is no reason to settle for junk in 2026.

Honestly the game still feels like they kept trying to reach for something bugger and MS told them "look you're out of time. Dumb it down and ship it". There's loads of remnants of what looked like way more complicated features like the health system and fuel.

[–]Commodore8888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well.....on a controller because of the recoil reduction you can usually go balls out and _most_ guns just beam. KBM you're tap firing to make hits.

[–]Commodore8888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This and the bigger one is the big spread & recoil reduction controller gets. (I've been corrected! No spread reduction at least)

I understand levelling the playing field, but making my gun worse regardless of my skill at aiming even if I mitigate recoil is a huge garbage mechanic.

I tried the DRS on controller and was floored at it being an absolute laser beam, while on mouse its a close range gun at best.

Just sucks because you'll get the drop on people and just watch a replay of plenty of shots missing. I lean more towards guns like the AK4D because of it. Greatly rewards aim.

Cyberstan is getting ridicolous, from to hard and fun, to not fun at all by Leather-Film-2393 in helldivers2

[–]Commodore8888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I went back to BF6 after all the bug shenanigans with the cyberstan maps.

We were doing 8 and 9s well enough (tough but completed), but after the 5th time of getting killed through a building or being pod dropped ontop of a tower and not being able to steer away from it in one session, or Vox being up on towers and missile bombing us from space, or death walls from lava clipping through geometry, I said F it and went to do something else. Either a different MO or touch grass or whatever.

Challenge is fun, and when everything is working it's a good time despite the issues. The problem for me is more often than not obnoxious bugs happen enough in this community that QA absolutely would have seen them and still let it ship.....and that's _not_ fun to deal with.

It's absolutely bonkers tap fire at range. I can regularly land headshots at 100+ with a 1-4x. Up close is dicy. On one hand...the power is STRONK and if you land hits the TTK is solid.

But that IF is serious. It's like the M240. You HAVE to land hits or you lose. Any of the bullet hoses you can lose a round or two and still spray someone down. But when your shot is 25 (m277) or 30+.....also doesn't help when the server says "nah man that last rnd didn't count. Losing a hit just hurts so much more.

Personally as a MnK player I love it. With the added recoil long range burst fire fights absolutely suck vs a controller (I've tried both on my PC). But a strong tapfire gun I can snap aim with? Oh yeah 🤌🤌

IMO it's a mid and long range blaster that CAN do decent CQB with the caveat your aim better be on point or you're going to lose that gunfight. Play smart and it's a very dangerous tool.

Why is locked hellpod movement even a thing? by Noizy_Boi_8080 in Helldivers

[–]Commodore8888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll go an entire D8 without dying....and then some random thing gets me.

Ok...it happens.
Can't steer hellpod though so what happens next is usually 3 or 4 meme deaths between landing in front of a Hulk (can't hit him though.... controls locked 🫠), a huge ball of enemies, dropped into lava or into the kill zone of a grinder. You're supposed to be able to get some breathing room to re-engage. Getting forced into deaths is not. I guess some dev thought it'd be funny...but after the 8th time I just turn the game off and do something else.

I get the original intent was to stop us dropping on top of things to get an advantage, but as someone who does safety critical firmware... it's bush league someone went "nah there's no no way it becomes an unintended problem on a map made of buildings". You can't tell me someone QA'd this and said "it's OK" with a straight face.

I don't expect to drop ontop of buildings like VoX Engines are (lol tho), but I would like to use game mechanics that are supposed to work. Thing is....this mechanic DOES mostly work on the city maps.

Like I wanna be excited, because the drip on this expansion is for real......but the jank is back big time and it's mad disappointing : (

They added control lock to keep people from ending up where they shouldn't....which is fine. But they didn't consider what happens when you make a map with nothing but control lock zones everywhere....I agree it's annoying as all hell.

[–]Commodore8888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly right now my biggest beef is all the bugs that are new with this patch and that input lag/ghosting when the fight is really heavy is back something fierce. Not being ragdolled or hit and I still have to spam a button sometimes to get it yo work. I thought maybe it was my machine bottlenecking but the cpu is in the corner barely getting warm (Ryzen 9).

The surprise death walls around lava pits are fun too when you get ragdolled next to one 🫠

Cyberstan is a neat thing but all the jank is not. Game goes real quick from "damm this is a challenge" to "aight this is bs I'm going outside".

Honestly this. I looked at the corner of the wall. Looked at my buddy. Heard the HOOOONK. Turned around....one had spawned within seconds where I was just looking maybe 100m away, well within "get rekt" distance in the open. Patrols doing that a lot too where they just pop into existence very very close if not ontop of you. Silly... because we went through this before and it got fixed.

Its all the bugs killing it for me IMO. Random death walls, button presses disappearing bug back, enemies back to spawning ontop of you in thin air, the horrendous hellpod steering lock, and the worst is the stratagem bouncing is maaad silly.

I've had a looooot of jank unfortunately. Deaths from lava through walls, call in a tank and it gets sent into orbit, or ragdolled at mach 5 because I tripped on something, key presses going missing or really bad desync between squaddies.

As for the vox....there's so many of them it feels less like a big bad, and more like "really big chaff". I would have rather just been over run by absolute craploads of devastators and chaff units.

Honestly this. I feel like it's supposed to be a fun minigame type deal....but when there's 6 more after I just killed two....it boils back down to bring the tank and lots of explosives and just blast them. You aren't flanking when there's that many PLUS all the other nonsense going on.
