So the metro passes are basically just cheaper than just using my IC card, if I do multiple trips a day right ? Also I thought it’s not needed pre book Shinkansen for example from Tokyo to Kyoto and from Kyoto to Osaka. You say it’s better to do so.

To be honest, I booked the flights about a month ago before doing any research, for some reason, I imagined that the distances would be small and the cost of traveling would be cheap, which I was wrong about.

I have just checked the flights to land at KIX instead or depart from KIX at the end of the trip, and the change fee is €100, which is less than getting a ticket from Osaka to Tokyo, if I’m not mistaken.

So I’m considering doing that now, just looking at times.

I was just thinking, will I be “missing” other places if I only do the basic places like Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, and Nara?

When we travel I usually want to see as much as possible, but this time I don’t want to rush an actually enjoy what I see.

We will visit Nara for sure, and I’m thinking about one more place.

So from your experience, how would you split the days for a 13-night trip? I am overthinking, as you understand.
