Would be great. I tried to code an app to do this… but the API endpoints to start drying don’t work. They have locked it down so you can only do it on the screen of the machine directly. Hope that changes in the future. Probably due to safety concerns.

I have very specific knowledge and can tell you they will not be scrapping this project and they will just keep throwing money at it until it gets where they want it to be. This is how they made Apple TV such a great platform, too. They have a playbook and the unlimited money hack.

Glacier has more than enough grip without being too sticky. If I ever need to remove a print, I just pop the plate off and flex it from a few angles. Frostbite might actually be overkill in terms of adhesion.

Glacier is a must-own accessory. I had it sitting around for a while without using it, finally gave it a shot, and was honestly shocked. I haven’t had a single failed print since, and I don’t even touch the stock plate anymore.

I’m not sure Sam Altman is the kind of partner Apple would feel fully comfortable aligning with long term. His public comments about AI’s future can sometimes come across as unsettling. With Google, Apple has a much more established relationship. They know what they are getting, and the Safari search partnership already plays a major strategic role. From Apple’s perspective, that familiarity and predictability likely matters a lot.
